    摘要: A panelboard system includes a panelboard, a first circuit breaker in the panelboard, a second circuit breaker in the panelboard, and an interlock assembly. The interlock assembly includes: an interlock panel, a first protrusion on the interlock panel and positioned above the first circuit breaker, a second protrusion on the interlock panel and positioned above the second circuit breaker, and a toggle bracket pivotally connected to the interlock panel at a pivot member between the first and second protrusions. The toggle bracket includes a first arm extending from the pivot member toward the first circuit breaker and a second arm extending from the pivot member toward the second circuit breaker.

    摘要: A circuit breaker includes a current entry which conducts an electrical current via a wound coil conductor strip of a first coil to a first fixed contact, and includes a contact rocker which can be moved between two switching positions. The contact rocker includes mutually connected contact limbs. A first switching position of the contact rocker, electrically connects the first fixed contact with a second fixed contact which is connected via a wound coil conductor strip of a second coil to a current exit for dissipating an electrical current flowing through the contact limbs of the contact rocker and the coil conductor strips of the coils to a current exit of the circuit breaker. A high electrical current which flows through the wound coil conductor strips of the coils and through the contact limbs of the contact rocker produces a magnetic field which generates a switching force which moves the contact rocker from the first switching position into a second switching position in which the two fixed contacts are electrically separated to interrupt the electrical current.

    摘要: A circuit interrupter in the form of a circuit breaker (10) is shown having a movable contact (14a) which moves between contacts engaged and contacts disengaged position relative to a stationary contact (16a). An arc paddle (20) is mounted in a housing (12) for spring biased pivotal motion of an arc dissipating portion between a position out of alignment with the movable and stationary contacts and in engagement with the side of the movable contact when the contacts are in the contacts engaged position and a position in which the arc dissipating portion is in alignment with and in between the contacts when the contacts are in the contacts disengaged position to force arcs which occur between the contacts to extend their travel path and dissipate the arc in an improved shortened period of time. In an alternative embodiment the arc paddle (22) is generally U-shaped having two legs (22a, 22b) connected by a bight (22c). The paddle is pivotably mounted at the bight with one leg disposed in alignment with but beyond the contacts and the other leg disposed out of alignment with the contacts and closely adjacent the side of the movable contact when the contacts are in engagement. When the movable contact separates from the stationary contact, motion is transferred to the one leg causing the paddle to pivot with other leg moving into alignment with and in between the two contacts.

    摘要: A fuseless plug with an overload safety circuit breaker having a thermal reactive spring leaf and an electric conductive sheet. When in normal use, the thermal reactive spring leaf and the electric conductive sheet are electrically connected by contacting mutually. If overloading or short circuiting occurs, the temperature will rise, while the thermal reactive spring leaf made of an alloy of two kinds of metal material has different coefficients of temperature, so that the spring leaf will be bent outwardly to release the electric conductive sheet to form a broken circuit state and to assure that no disaster such as a fire alarm will occur. After clearing, a push button can be pushed down to force the electric conductive sheet into engagement again with the spring leaf for use.

    摘要: In a single housing that looks like a standard rocker switch a thermally responsive movable contact element is mechanically opened by the rocker in a "switch" mode, or opened in response to an overcurrent condition in a circuit protection mode. Both conditions result in a trip flag being moved between the movable and a fixed contact. The trip flag rests lightly on the movable contact when the device is ON and during reset motion the trip flag is so mounted in the switch case that it reaches such a reset position only after the movable contact has returned to its ON or closed condition. The rocker has skirts that define cam teeth cooperable with cam teeth on the trip flag. The housing defines slots for receiving projecting portions of the trip flag to define a movable pivot for the trip flag to so reduce the forces and/or moments of the trip flag as it "rests" on the movable contact.

    摘要: A circuit protecting device somprises mainly a housing, an insulation piece, a bimetallic blade, a spring and a press button. The housing has a cover and a main body provided with two partition blocks forming a spring slot and a press button slot communicating with the spring slot. The bimetallic blade has an end fastened to one of two terminals and has another end provided with a contact piece in contact with another one of the two terminals. The spring embracing the outer end of the insulation piece is received in the spring slot of the main body of the housing while the press button is received in the press button slot of the main body of the housing. The inner end of the press button is provided with an insertion hole for receiving therein the outer end of the insulation piece. When a current overload takes place, the heat so generated causes the bimetallic blade to deform so as to force the press button to move outwards until two restrictive flanges of the press button are obstructed by two arresting portions located at the port of the press button slot of the main body of the housing.

    摘要: A push button operated circuit breaker with thermal tripping by way of a bimetal strip includes an angled contact bridge which is mounted within a switch housing to be freely pivotal and is urged in a tripping direction by a tripping spring against a contact lug of the bimetal strip projecting laterally for engagement with a contact piece of the contact bridge. The circuit breaker further including a connecting arm which is coupled for movement with the bimetal strip. The cylindrical exterior surface of a drum-shaped rotary body lies against the connecting arm and thus creates a kinematic connection between the rotary body and the connecting arm. When the switch housing is fully assembled, the drum-shaped rotary body is operative as an adjustment eccentric which is externally manipulatable by way of a hexagonal recess so as to adjust the tripping characteristic of the circuit breaker.
