摘要: To realize both toughness and size reduction of a safety switch. A safety switch is a safety switch into and from which a bolt of an actuator is inserted and pulled out. The safety switch includes a casing having a shape elongated along a first direction, a metal head having a receiving space for receiving the bolt of the actuator and provided on a first end side of the casing in the first direction, a detector for detecting a first state in which the bolt is received in the receiving space, a lock mechanism, a switching device and a first attachment portion provided in the head and having a first attachment hole into which a first attachment member is inserted.

摘要: A circuit breaker is configured to ensure electrical safety when working on its circuits. The circuit breaker comprises a housing with an exterior boundary. The housing includes an “integrated” or “pre-installed” Lock-Off feature extending away from the exterior boundary. The Lock-Off feature having a hole that is configured to receive a shackle or a shank of a padlock. The circuit breaker further comprises a built-in Lock-Off mechanism including a handle integrated with the housing using a pivot such that the handle is configured to pivot relative to the hole in the Lock-Off feature. The built-in Lock-Off mechanism in combination with the Lock-Off feature is configured to prevent the handle from being turned ON with the use of the padlock. The padlock prevents the handle from rotating on its pivot such that the padlock disables the circuit breaker from turning ON by impeding the handle from rotating to an ON-position.

摘要: The present invention is an industrial switching device which prevents a false indication of an open electrical circuit when contacts within the switching device are welded shut. Under normal operation, an actuator is selectively moved between a first position and a second position to reciprocally move a plunger to open and close the contacts. The actuator includes an indicator of whether the switching device is in the “ON” or “OFF” state. When the contacts are welded shut, a plunger engagement section interlocks with an actuator engagement section to prevent the actuator from moving from the “ON” position to the “OFF” position. A crossbar on the plunger engagement section embeds in the actuator engagement section to prevent the actuator from sliding over the plunger. A side member on the plunger engagement section prevents the actuator from sliding around the plunger.

摘要: An operator for an electrical switching apparatus includes an actuator configured to be grasped by a user. A linkage is attached to the actuator at a first end of the linkage and configured for extending through an enclosure housing the electrical switching apparatus. An engagement assembly is attached to the linkage at a second end of the linkage such that when the operator is mounted to the enclosure movement of the actuator outside of the enclosure causes movement of the engagement assembly inside the enclosure. The engagement assembly includes an extension arm attached to the linkage and an attachment member attached to the extension arm. The attachment member is configured to engage a toggle of the electrical switching apparatus in the enclosure to move the toggle between at least two positions.
