    摘要: Method for performing focusing in a particle-optical device with the aid of astigmatism in the particle beam.In a particle-optical device such as an electron microscope it is advantageous to perform the process of focusing automatically. In accordance with the invention, the electron beam which is to be focused is deliberately made astigmatic to a certain degree. With this astigmatic beam, two images of a specimen are made at two different settings of the objective, after which in each of the images the direction of the astigmatic smearing is determined—for example, with the aid of a two-dimensional Fourier transform (FFT). The directions of the astigmatic smearing are perpendicular to each other if, in the transition from a first setting of the objective to a second one, the point of optimum focus is passed. Through a process of interpolation (which process may be iterative) between these two settings, the point of optimum focus can now be determined. Possible anisotropy in the specimen itself can be eliminated by making two images at both of the settings of the objective and by subtracting the FFTs thereof from each other.

    摘要: Disclosed is a circuit for adjusting a horizontal center of a raster displayed on a monitor CRT, which includes a current generating circuit which can control an amount of a direct current flowing through a horizontal deflection yoke of the monitor based on a control voltage, a first voltage, and a second voltage. A control part generates the control voltage in response to a center adjustment signal. A voltage generating circuit generates the first and second voltages, respectively. The first voltage has a higher potential than that of a B.sup.+ voltage which is applied to the horizontal deflection yoke, and the second voltage has a lower potential than that of the B.sup.+ voltage. The current generating circuit either generates a first current flowing into the horizontal deflection yoke to increase the direct current or a second current flowing out therefrom to decrease the direct current, such that the horizontal center of the raster is controlled.

    摘要: A circuit for inhibiting a transition phenomenon in a power supply unit is disclosed. When the power supply mode is shifted, a transition phenomenon is made not to appear in the operating power supplied to the load. The circuit includes a microcomputer which judges as to the presence or absence of horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals supplied from the computer system so as to vary the power in a stepwise form when shifting the power supply mode. In accordance with control signals of the microcomputer, a feedback level adjusting section reduces the error detected voltage in a stepwise form when the power is fed back from a second rectifying section through an error detecting section to a pulse width modulator (PWM) control section. Therefore, in accordance with the stepwisely decreasing error detected voltage, the pulse width modulator (PWM) control section reduces its output signals in a stepwise form, so that the power supplied to the load can be reduced in a stepwise form.
