摘要: A traction battery assembly includes a traction battery having a plurality of cells secured in one or more arrays by support structure. A contactor is electrically connected to the traction battery and has a housing mounted to the support structure, a pair of terminals extending from the housing, and a switching arrangement configured to electrically connect the terminals when closed. A pre-charge module is connected to the traction battery solely through direct attachment to the contactor. The module has a pre-charge circuit electrically connected to the terminals and a case that is directly attached to the housing of the contactor.

摘要: The present invention relates to a thermal management system and a thermal management method for cooling a heat-generating electronic device such as a battery and for extinguishing a fire occurring in the heat-generating electronic device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a thermal management system and a thermal management method that are capable of cooling a heat-generating electronic device such as a battery of an energy storage system (ESS) in various ways at multiple stages and of extinguishing a fire in the heat-generating electronic device. The present invention has an effect of preventing fire by cooling a heating-generating element such as a battery of an energy storage device. In addition, the present invention has an effect of stopping a cooling operation and starting a fire extinguishing operation when a fire occurs during the cooling operation.

摘要: A battery system includes battery cells arranged and adhered to a carrier. One or more side walls are bonded with adhesive to the battery cells to provide support, and a current collector assembly is also adhered on one axial side of the battery cells. One or more dividers may be included to maintain electrically isolation between the parallel connected battery cell groups. The other axial side of the battery cells is adhered to a cooling plate. A similar structure is bonded with adhesive to the other side of the cooling plate to form a compact battery system. Shear walls, busbars, terminal busbars, and an isolation bracket with a mounted Electronic Control Unit are bonded with adhesive to the assembly to form the battery system. Each adhesive, or type of adhesive, may exhibit specified criteria and requirements such as strength, thermal conductivity, electronic conductivity, curing requirements, or a combination thereof.

摘要: A battery module includes a plurality of cylindrical battery cells and a first fixing frame configured to support the cylindrical battery cells so that the cylindrical battery cells are oriented vertically. The first fixing frame includes cell bottom holders provided at predetermined locations on a plate having a tray shape so that the cylindrical battery cells can be inserted therein in a vertical orientation; and perforation holes formed between the cell bottom holders so as to be open in a vertical direction, wherein the battery module comprises a thermally conductive adhesive solution introduced through the perforation holes from a lower portion of the first fixing frame to an upper portion thereof.
