    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for implementing and utilizing dual-polarized planar ultra-wideband antennas. An example planar antenna may include a substrate, a monopole conductor, a first ground conductor, and a second ground conductor. The monopole conductor may be connected to a first signal feeding line. The first ground conductor may be connected through a ground connector to ground potential. The first ground conductor may be further connected to a second signal feeding line. The second ground conductor may connected to ground potential located on a particular side of the substrate. The planar antenna may be configured to transmit and receive radiation in two mutually cross-polarized modes.

    摘要: An integrated device package is disclosed. The integrated device package can include an antenna structure and an integrated device die electrically coupled to the antenna structure. The antenna structure can be formed with a system board or separated from the system board. When the antenna structure is formed with the system board, the integrated device package can include a redistribution layer having conductive routing traces such that the integrated device die is disposed between the system board and the redistribution layer, and the integrated device die is electrically coupled to the antenna structure at least partially through one or more of the conductive routing traces of the redistribution layer. When the antenna structure is separated from the system board, the integrated device die can be positioned between the antenna structure and the system board, and the integrated device die can be electrically coupled to the antenna structure at least partially through one or more of conductive routing traces of the system board and conductive wire of an interconnect structure between the system board and the antenna structure.

    摘要: An angle-of-arrival antenna system uses two orthogonal arrays of patch antenna elements to measure the angle of arrival of a wireless signal irrespective of its polarization. Each antenna element has an antenna patch located over a corresponding ground patch. A shorting wall directly electrically connects one edge of the antenna patch to a corresponding edge of the underlying ground patch. The edge of the ground patch is also directly connected to a system ground plane. No other edges of the ground patch are connected to the system ground plane. The shorting wall acts as an impedance that isolates the ground patch from the system ground plane, and therefore improves isolation between the antenna elements. The antenna system may be constructed using conventional circuit-board fabrication techniques by implementing each shorting wall as an array of plated through-holes or slots.

    摘要: A system having a radiating element is disclosed. The radiating element may include a plurality of higher order floquet mode scattering (HOFS) layers including at least a lowest layer unit cell, a middle layer unit cell, and a highest layer unit cell. The radiating element may also include a stripline feed layer having a ground plane layer. The ground plane layer is configured in at least one of a non-equilateral triangular grid unit cell or an equilateral triangular grid., one or more horizontal and vertical polarization stripline feeds, one or more horizontal and vertical polarization ground plane slots, and one or more ground vias to create an evanescent waveguide for resonance free stripline to radiating element coupling. The radiating element may be dual-polarized aperture coupled with an active electronically scanned array (AESA) in a manner so as to enable the AESA to electronically steer a beam of radio waves to point in different directions without moving the AESA and radiate beams of radio waves at multiple frequencies simultaneously.

A non-contact coupling connection between an antenna and a feed point or a ground point is implemented by using the antenna connection apparatus, to avoid arranging an elastic bonding pad or a flexible metal buffer material on the antenna and arranging an elastic pin and the flexible metal buffer material on the feed point or the ground point, thereby reducing connection cost of the antenna and a space occupied by the antenna connection apparatus in a mobile phone.
