Abstract: An integrated base station antenna comprises a passive antenna that includes a front radome, a matching dielectric layer and a rear radome; and an active antenna mounted on the back of the passive antenna. A distance between the rear radome of the passive antenna and the matching dielectric layer is a first distance, and the distance between the active antenna and the rear radome of the passive antenna is a second distance, where the first distance is selected as 0.25+n/2 times the equivalent wavelength, where n is a positive integer, and the second distance is selected as 0.25+N/2 times the equivalent wavelength, where N is a natural number. The equivalent wavelength is within the range of 0.8 to 1.2 times of the wavelength corresponding to a center frequency of an operating frequency band of the radiating elements in the active antenna.

Moreover, the method includes transmitting the second set of signals via the second set of antennas using a second power based on the positions of the antennas, the exposure conditions of the signals on the user, and/or priorities of the signals.

Abstract: An antenna module includes a radiation element including feeding elements adjacent to each other, a feed wiring, a ground electrode, and a filter circuit. The ground electrode is disposed to face the radiation element. The feed wiring transmits a radio frequency signal from an RFIC to the radiation element. The filter circuit is connected between a feed circuit and the feed wiring. The ground electrode includes a first portion facing the radiation element, and a second portion arranged in a layer at an upper side closer to the radiation element than the first portion. In plan view of the antenna module from a normal direction, i) the second portion is disposed between the two feeding elements, and ii) the filter circuit overlaps the second portion and is disposed in a layer at a lower side than the second portion.

Abstract: Base station antennas include a main module that has a first backplane that includes a first reflector. A vertically-extending array of first radiating elements is mounted to extend forwardly from the first reflector, and at least one first RF port is coupled to the vertically-extending array of first radiating elements. These antennas further include a sub-module that is attached to the first backplane. The sub-module includes a second backplane that has a second reflector that is separate from the first reflector. A vertically-extending array of second radiating elements is mounted to extend forwardly from the second reflector and is transversely spaced-apart from the vertically-extending array of first radiating elements. A plurality of second RF ports are coupled to the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements. The vertically-extending array of first radiating elements and the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements are configured to serve a common sector of a base station.

Abstract: A Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) patch antenna can include a middle laminate, a top laminate, a bottom laminate, and a ground well. The middle laminate can include a first side and a second side. The top laminate can be coupled to the middle laminate and can be positioned on the first side of the middle laminate. The top laminate can include an electrically conductive antenna element configured to receive GNSS signals. The bottom laminate can be coupled to the middle laminate and can be positioned on the second side of the middle laminate. The ground well can cover exposed surfaces of the bottom laminate and exposed portions of the second side of the middle laminate and can comprise electrically conductive material. Some of the surface of the middle laminate that is covered by the bottom laminate can be free from the electrically conductive material.

A shield is formed on the second major surface. At least one via extends through the dielectric layer to connect the shield to the ground plane. A feed line extends longitudinally through the dielectric layer from a feed point at a proximal end of the transmission line towards a distal end of the transmission line, the feed line being shielded along a portion of its length extending across the ground plane element by the shield.
