摘要: A contact assembly for an electrical connector includes an array of contacts including signal contacts and ground contacts. The ground contacts are interspersed with the signal contacts to provide electrical shielding between corresponding signal contacts. Each signal contact includes a signal contact body having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first edge between the first and second sides, and a second edge between the first and second sides opposite the first edge. The signal contact body includes a signal mating end and a signal terminating end. Each signal contact includes a mating ball formed at the signal mating end of the signal contact body. The mating ball is generally spherical shaped. The mating ball and the signal contact body are a homogeneous structure.

摘要: An electrical connection terminal for a vehicle is capable of securing structural stability of an electrical connection with a mating terminal. The electrical connection terminal includes a terminal body, provided with a pair of spring couplers facing each other with a predetermined distance therebetween, and a pair of contact springs, respectively assembled to the pair of spring couplers and configured to electrically connect the terminal body to a mating terminal by being brought into contact with the mating terminal inserted between the pair of spring couplers, wherein the contact spring includes a spring body assembled on an outer side of the spring coupler, and a plurality of mating terminal contacts provided independently of each other on the spring body and elastically brought into contact with the mating terminal when the mating terminal is inserted between the pair of spring couplers.

摘要: A card edge connector for transmitting signal and power simultaneously. The connector has two or more types of conductors held by a housing. First and second types of conductors are configured for transmitting signal and power, respectively. The housing has a slot for receiving a mating component. The housing has first and second types of grooves for holding the first and second types of conductors, respectively, such that the conductors can sustain a similar amount of force generated when mating with the mating component. The conductors have mating ends with contact portions curving into the slot and mounting ends opposite the mating ends and extending out of the housing. The mating and mounting ends of the first and second types of conductors are configured such that they can be deflected by the mating component simultaneously and mounted to a printed circuit board using a same process.

摘要: A separable and reconnectable connector for semiconductor devices is provided that is scalable for devices having very small contact pitch. Connectors of the present disclosure include signal pins shielded by pins electrically-coupled to ground. One or more signal pins in a contact array are electrically-shielded by at least one ground pin coupled to a ground plane. Embodiments thereby provide signal pins, either single-ended or a differential pair, usable to transmit signals with reduced noise or cross-talk and thus improved signal integrity. Embodiments further provide inner ground planes coupled to connector ground pins to shield pairs of differential signal pins without increasing the size of the connector. Inner grounding layers can be formed within isolation substrates incorporated into connector embodiments between adjacent pairs of signal pins. These buried ground layers provide additional crosstalk isolation in close proximity to signal pins, resulting in improved signal integrity in a significantly reduced space.

摘要: According to a certain embodiment, a pin plunger includes: a first contact member; a second contact member that faces the first contact member and is apart from the first contact member; a spring arranged between the first contact member and the second contact member; and a housing that houses the first contact member, the second contact member, and the spring. The housing comprises a bimetal inside or outside the housing. The bimetal comprises a first metal and a second metal, the first metal having a thermal expansion coefficient different from a thermal expansion coefficient of the second metal. The elastic force decreased or increased by contracting or expanding of the spring due to a temperature change is compensated with a warping force due to stretching of the first metal and the second metal.
