    摘要: A DC block RF device includes a housing defining a cavity having a central axis, an input conductor disposed in the cavity of the housing and extending substantially along the central axis of the cavity and an output conductor disposed in the cavity of the housing and extending substantially along the central axis of the cavity. The DC block RF device further includes a first capacitor connected to the input conductor and a second capacitor connected to the output conductor and the first capacitor. In addition, the DC block RF device includes a coil for grounding surge signals, the coil having an inner edge connected to the center conductor and an outer edge connected to the housing of the device. During a surge, the first capacitor is configured to arc the surge across the capacitor without damaging the capacitor so the surge can dissipate through coil to ground.

    摘要: A surge protector connector comprises a surge protector having a front plate, a rear plate, and hollow cylindrical body bridging the front and rear plates. A coaxial cable connector interface extends from the front plate, and the connector interface is constructed and arranged to detachably engage with a mating coaxial cable connector at the end of a first coaxial cable. A cable attachment interface extends from the rear plate, and the cable attachment interface is constructed and arranged to attach directly to a prepared end of a second coaxial cable free of another coaxial cable connector interface. The surge protector connector further includes coaxial inner and outer conductors extending through the hollow cylindrical body and extending between the cable attachment interface and the coaxial cable connector interface. The surge protector includes a curvilinear quarter-wavelength shorting stub having a first portion extending in a generally radial direction from the inner conductor through a gap in the outer conductor and a second portion extending in a generally annular direction circumscribing the outer conductor between the outer conductor and the cylindrical body.

    摘要: A cable connector disposed at a cable includes a signal protection device, an outer pipe and a transmission member. The signal protection device includes an inner pipe and a signal protection module. The inner pipe is inserted into the outer pipe through an end opening thereof such that a metallic conducting rod of the inner pipe is in the outer pipe. The signal protection module is inserted through another end opening of the outer pipe such that the metallic conducting rod of the inner pipe is penetratingly disposed at the signal protection module. The transmission member is inserted through another end opening of the outer pipe such that a conducting element is electrically connected to the metallic conducting rod of the inner pipe, revealing a transmission element. Therefore, the signal protection device is modularized and miniaturized.

    摘要: A network apparatus architecture is disclosed that includes one or more isolation circuits to accommodate a predetermined isolation voltage. Each isolation circuit enables an independent DC voltage to be selected along a network signaling path to accommodate different DC voltages of network circuits along the network signaling path. For example, DC isolation may be provided between a physical interface and a network circuit via one or more capacitors, optoelectronic isolators, coupled magnetic devices, or semiconductor devices. A network circuit may be powered by a power supply that is isolated from the rest of the network apparatus. The one or more isolation circuits and network circuits may be included in a system-on-chip, or application-specific integrated circuit.
