    Abstract: This motor includes a yoke housing, a brush holder, a housing case and a circuit board. The brush holder holds a power supply brush and power supply terminals. The housing case has a board containing recess into which front end portions of the power supply terminals are inserted. The circuit board has terminals which are electrically connected to the power supply terminals within the board containing recess. The power supply terminals have terminal connection parts which linearly extend and are arranged in the board containing recess. The terminals are fork terminals which are electrically connected to the terminal connection parts. With respect to the terminal connection parts, portions closer to the base ends than terminal connected positions, where the terminals are connected, are covered by noise reduction member for reducing noise.

    Abstract: A device {i.e., a slip-ring or a homopolar motor/generator) (40, 50, 80) is adapted to provide electrical contact between a stator and a rotor (41, 83), and includes: a current-carrying brush-spring (31, 84) mounted on the stator, and having two opposite surfaces; a fibrous brush assembly (35, 69) mounted on the conductor, the brush assembly having a bundle of fibers (36, 71) arranged such that the tips of the fibers will engage the rotor for transferring electrical current between the stator and rotor; a ribbon (33, 85) of superconducting material mounted on each opposite surface of the current-carrying brush-spring and communicating with the stator and the brush assembly; and another ribbon (29, 86) of superconducting material mounted on the rotor. The device is submerged in a cryogenic fluid at a temperature below the transition temperatures of the superconducting materials such that the electrical resistivity of the device will be reduced and the current-transfer capability of the device will be increased.

    Abstract: A slipring assembly comprises a slipring module having at least one slipring track, which is in electrical contact with at least one slipring brush. The slipring module comprises an isolating body holding the at least one slipring track. Furthermore a cooling element is embedded into or attached to the slipring module to remove heat from the slipring module and to increase the temperature of the at least one slipring track. This allows decreasing the temperature of the slipring module to increase the maximum transferable power and lifetime.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a motor comprising: a rotary shaft; a rotor including a hole in which the rotary shaft is disposed; a stator disposed on the outer side of the rotor; and a housing for accommodating the rotor and the stator, and further comprising a rectifier having a hole in which the rotary shaft is disposed, wherein the housing includes a cover plate, the cover plate includes a brush coming into contact with the rectifier, and the front surface of the brush includes a curved part coming into contact with the rectifier, and a cutting part formed to be bent from the curved part such that the cutting part does not come into contact with the rectifier, thereby providing an advantageous effect of inhibiting the worn foreign material of the brush from being generated on a contact portion between the brush and the rectifier during the initial driving of the motor.

    Abstract: A laminated carbon brush for a liquid pump motor slides in a liquid fuel on a disk-like commutator. The laminated carbon brush includes two layers of a lower resistivity layer and a higher resistivity layer. In both the lower resistivity layer and the higher resistivity layer, circular directional resistivities of the brush along a circular direction in the rotation of the commutator are higher than non-circular directional resistivities of the brush along a radial direction of the commutator and a perpendicular direction to the sliding surface of the commutator. A non-circular directional resistivity of the higher resistivity layer are higher than or equal to 90,000 μΩ·cm. No spark discharges occur if the fuel pump motor is operated to output a high power.

An example method may include using previously sensed Hall effect sensor transitions to predict a future Hall effect transition, and dividing a time between a most recent Hall effect sensor transition and the predicted Hall effect sensor transition into time increments.
