摘要: A wedge assembly may include a recess, a first tab, a second tab, and/or a retainer. The recess may be configured to receive a main conductor or a tap conductor when the wedge assembly is installed in an electrical connector. The first tab may be configured to be received by a cavity defined in a bottom portion of a body member of the electrical connector. The first tab and the second tab may define respective apertures therethrough that are configured to receive a bolt of the electrical connector. The bolt may be configured to drive the wedge assembly into the electrical connector such that the main conductor and the tap conductor are electrically connected. The retainer may be configured to releasably secure the bolt within the wedge assembly. The retainer may be configured to be removed to enable removal of the bolt from the wedge assembly.

摘要: A captive shear bolt assembly includes a bolt and a shear coupling. The bolt may have a head, an extension, and a shank. The shear coupling may be configured to be received by the extension. The shear coupling may be configured to receive the extension via an orifice in the shear coupling. The shear coupling may be configured to shear when an upper head of the shear coupling is driven at a threshold torque. When the shear coupling has sheared, the extension may be configured to captively secure the upper head to the bolt. The captive shear bolt assembly may be used in a tap connector for electrically connecting a main conductor to a tap conductor.

摘要: A terminal includes a terminal body and a slider. The terminal body is formed by processing a metal sheet. The terminal body is coupled to a front end of an electric wire with respect to an extending direction in which the electric wire extends. The terminal body holds the electric wire. The slider is slidable in the extending direction relative to the terminal body. The terminal body includes connecting tabs that includes contact surfaces contactable with the electric wire. Each of the connecting tabs has a cantilever shape. The slider includes pressing portions that press the connecting tabs so that the connecting tabs deform and the contact surfaces contact the electric wire when the slider is slid. The connecting tabs include burrs that are produced during processing of the metal sheet. The burrs protrude from the contact surfaces toward the electric wire.

摘要: A power connector assembly transferring power between a supply connector assembly and a tap connector assembly includes a front interface module mated with the supply connector assembly and a rear interface module mounted to a host circuit board. The power connector assembly includes a power tap module between the front interface module and the rear interface module having power tap contacts each electrically connected to corresponding front and rear power contacts. Each power tap contact includes a tap interface exterior of the front housing and exterior of the rear housing configured to be terminated to the tap connector assembly. The power tap contact electrically connecting the front power contact and the tap connector assembly to transfer power from the supply connector assembly to the tap connector assembly.

摘要: The present disclosure provides cam activated wire termination assemblies for electrical wiring devices. The electrical wiring devices include a cover and a base. The base has a wire chamber supporting a wire termination assembly. The wire termination assembly includes a wire fastening member and a conductive member. The wire fastening member has a cam surface and is rotatable between an open position and a securing position. The conductive member is positioned in close proximity to the wire fastening member such that a gap is provided between the wire fastening member and the conductive member when the wire fastening member is in the open position. When the wire fastening member is rotated from the open position to the securing position, the cam surface rotates to reduce the size of the gap between the wire fastening member and the conductive member.
