    摘要: A withdrawable control compartment for mounting breaker control and measurement devices therein is provided. The compartment is withdrawable upon rollers and allows for quick disconnection of the devices from the energized parts of the switchgear. The compartment is secured in a cell of a switchgear enclosure using flanges in removeable engagement with brackets. The flanges are attached to the compartment and the brackets are attached to opposing sides of the frame of the switchgear enclosure.

    摘要: A power supply assembly which can drive a number of different devices at different voltages. A rack holds a number of breaker modules, and each breaker module can connect to one or many breakout boxes. The breakout boxes are keyed to the breaker modules, so that the breaker boxes will not be energized with power unless they are the proper voltage and/or configuration to receive that power. The coil of a contactor in the breaker module is powered by a key wire that is connected through specified pins in the breakout box. Therefore, no power is ever provided to the breakout box unless it is of the proper voltage configuration. In addition, feeder power to the power supply assembly is provided over bolted connections, without any wire connections between the power feed and the circuit breaker.

    摘要: A system and method for connecting supply power to motor control components includes use of a motor control center subunit with moveable supply power contacts. After a motor control center subunit is secured into a motor control center compartment, the supply power contacts may be advanced to engage supply power buses. For disconnection, the supply power contacts may be retracted and isolated from the buses before physical removal of the subunit. A free wheeling mechanism prevents supply power contacts from advancing and retracting past a preset travel range.

    摘要: A gas-insulated switchgear includes a tank filled with an electrically insulating gas, first and second conductors disposed within the tank, a disconnector for disconnecting the first conductor and the second conductor from each other, and a grounding switch for grounding the first conductor when the disconnector is in an open position. The disconnector includes a first and second fixed electrode disposed on the first and second conductors, respectively, a bridging movable electrode that is always maintained in contact with the first electrode and that is slidably movable for contacting with and separating from the second fixed electrode to connect and disconnect the first and second fixed electrodes, and an operating mechanism for opening and closing operation of the movable electrode. The grounding switch includes the bridging movable electrode which is in contact with the first contact, and a third fixed grounding electrode disposed to the tank capable of contacting with the movable electrode when the movable electrode is separated from the second electrode. The operating mechanism is provided with an electrically insulating operating rod extending through the first fixed electrode in the direction of movement of the movable electrode.

    摘要: The high-voltage switching device can be used in at least one installation position and has metallic encapsulation (10). It contains a switching gap (4) and a particle trap (1) for holding foreign body particles (2), and is characterized in that in the at least one installation position, the particle trap (1) is arranged vertically underneath the switching gap (4), and in that, in the at least one installation position, an isolator part (8) is provided, which has a surface (8a) that is aligned essentially horizontally and faces the interior of the high-voltage switching device, with a metallic wall (9), which is higher than the particle trap (1; 1′), being arranged between the isolator part (8) and the particle trap (1; 1′). The particle trap (1) preferably has a viewing window (3). If the high-voltage switching device is a disconnector, this viewing window (3) may be identical to the viewing window (3) for visual access to the visible disconnecting gap (4) of the disconnector. The high-voltage switching device can be used particularly advantageously in at least one second installation position and has a second particle trap, with the second particle trap being arranged vertically underneath the switching gap (4) in the at least one second installation position. This results in the high-voltage switching device having good operational reliability and a low susceptibility to defects.
