摘要: Disclosed are a self-power relay and a method for preventing a malfunction thereof. The self-power relay comprises: a self-power generation unit for autonomously generating a driving power by performing conversion into a preconfigured driving power level by using, as a source power, a system power of a transmission/distribution line or power system; and a relay operation unit, for measuring the amount of a system power of a transmission/distribution line or power system, blocking a system power transmitted to a load when a failure occurs, and monitoring a change in a source power of the self-power generation unit in real time, so as to stop a relay operation of the self-power generation unit and a relay operation of the relay operation unit itself when abnormality occurs, wherein a malfunction can be prevented by checking an unstable state of a source current and voltage for generation of a self driving power.

摘要: A method for analyzing effects of electrical perturbations on equipment in an electrical system includes processing energy-related signals from at least one intelligent electronic device in the electrical system to identify an electrical perturbation in the electrical system. An end time of the electrical perturbation may be determined, and electrical measurement data from prior to, during and/or after the end time of the electrical perturbation may be analyzed to identify and quantify the effects of the electrical perturbation on equipment in the electrical system. The effects may include, for example, equipment restarts/re-energizations due to the electrical perturbation. One or more actions may be taken or performed to reduce the effects of the electrical perturbation and extend the life of the equipment. The actions may include, for example, at least one of communicating the equipment restarts/re-energizations and controlling at least one component in the electrical system.

摘要: Systems and methods for gate driver with field-adjustable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) are disclosed. A gate driver system comprises a control circuit and a driver circuit. The driver circuit incorporates a field-adjustable UVLO, a control logic, and an inverter. The level of the field-adjustable UVLO is adjustable by an external circuit, which can be a resistor based voltage divider. By setting the UVLO level externally adjustable and by moving a reference ground to the external voltage divider, the gate driver system is able to implement gate control for various load without needing extra ground pin.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a surge protector includes a capacitor, a switch, and a first transistor. The capacitor charges based on an input power to the surge protector. The switch turns on when the capacitor is charged to a charge threshold. The surge protector outputs the input power when the switch is turned on. The first transistor turns on when a voltage of the input power exceeds a first input voltage threshold such that the capacitor discharges to below the charge threshold and such that the switch turns off. The surge protector stops outputting the input power when the switch is turned off.

摘要: The disclosure provides an Internet of things device and a battery power supply circuit thereof. A voltage of a battery is compared with a predetermined over-discharge voltage to generate a comparison signal. A battery protection circuit serves as a power supply path from the battery to a load and determines whether to cut off the power supply path according to the comparison signal. The battery protection circuit cuts off the power supply path when the voltage of the battery decreases from a value greater than the predetermined over-discharge voltage to a value less than the predetermined over-discharge voltage, but does not turn on the power supply path when the voltage of the battery increases from a value less than the predetermined over-discharge voltage to a value greater than the predetermined over-discharge voltage.

摘要: A method for analyzing power quality events in an electrical system includes processing electrical measurement data from or derived from energy-related signals captured by at least one metering device in the electrical system to generate at least one dynamic tolerance curve. Each dynamic tolerance curve of the at least one dynamic tolerance curve characterizes a response characteristic of the electrical system at a respective metering point in the electrical system. The method also includes analyzing the at least one dynamic tolerance curve to identify special cases which require further evaluation(s)/clarification to be discernable and/or actionable. The at least one dynamic tolerance curve may be regenerated or updated, and/or new or additional dynamic tolerance curves may be generated, to provide the further clarification. One or more actions affecting at least one component in the electrical system may be performed in response to an analysis of the curve(s).
