Abstract: A wireless power transmission system includes a first antenna, a second antenna, a controller, a first power conditioning system, and a second power conditioning system. The controller is configured to determine a first driving signal for driving the first antenna based on a first operating frequency, a virtual AC power frequency, a variable slot length, and slot timing, and determine a second driving signal for driving the second antenna based on a second operating frequency, the slot length, and the slot timing. The first power conditioning system is configured to receive the first driving signal to generate the virtual AC power signals at the first operating frequency, the virtual AC power signals having peak voltages rising and falling based on the virtual AC power frequency. The second power conditioning system is configured to receive the second driving signal to generate the virtual DC power signals at the second operating frequency.

Abstract: Wireless power transmitters and methods of management thereof are disclosed herein. An example wireless power transmitter includes an antenna array and a communication radio configured to: establish a communication connection with a respective wireless power receiver; and receive device data from the respective wireless power receiver, the device data used to determine a location of the respective wireless power receiver. The example wireless power transmitter also includes a controller in communication with the antenna array and the communication radio, the controller configured to: determine whether the respective wireless power receiver is authorized to receive power from the wireless power transmitter; if so, determine a particular time at which RF power waves should be transmitted to the respective receiver, the particular time based at least in part on a charging schedule for the transmitter; and instruct the antenna array to transmit radio frequency (RF) power waves at the particular time.

Abstract: An integrated circuit, such as included as a portion of a sensor node, can include a regulator circuit having an input coupleable to an energy harvesting transducer. The integrated circuit can include a wireless receiver circuit coupled to the regulator circuit and configured to wirelessly receive at least enough operating energy to establish operation of the sensor node without requiring the energy harvesting transducer. The integrated circuit can include a digital processor circuit coupled to the regulator circuit and a power management processor circuit. The digital processor circuit or one or more other circuits can include a subthreshold operational mode established by the power management processor circuit based on the selected energy consumption level. For example, establishing the subthreshold operational mode can include adjusting or selecting a supply voltage so as to establish subthreshold operation of a field effect transistor (FET) in the digital processor circuit or other circuits.

An embodiment operates by transmitting from a resonant circuit a calibration signal in response to detecting a charging base, and transmitting from the resonant circuit a charging state in response to receiving power at the resonant circuit. Another embodiment operates by transmitting from a resonant circuit a presence signal, receiving at the resonant circuit a calibration signal from a second resonant circuit in response to transmitting the presence signal, and transmitting from the resonant circuit power to the second resonant circuit in response to receiving the calibration signal.

Abstract: When a portable electronic appliance is provided with two systems, a wireless power-feeding system and a wireless communication system, each system requires two power-receiving devices, a coil and an antenna, leading to a problem of increased electronic appliance size and cost. Wireless power feeding employs the resonance method and uses a resonance coil using the resonance method and a power-receiving coil that receives power from the resonance coil. At least one of the resonance coil and the power-receiving coil can also be used as an antenna for wireless communication. Thus, a power-receiving device that can be used for two systems, wireless power feeding and wireless communication, can be provided.

Further, the receptor mobile device may include software application(s) that: (i) configure the receptor power transfer mechanism on the receptor mobile device to receive power; and (ii) receive and convert received power into electric current using the receptor power transfer mechanism.
