    Abstract: A device for positioning the ends of at least first pair of legs of hairpin conductors extending from a stator core with respect to a welder tool includes a first clamping element and a second clamping element that are independently moveable radially. The first clamping element has a first clamping surface and said second clamping element has a second clamping surface, wherein the clamping surfaces radially face each other. The clamping elements form a first radially inner receiving section between the first clamping surface and the second clamping surface, having a first radial width dimensioned to axially receive and clamp a first pair of legs during welding, and a second radially outer receiving section inside the first and second clamping elements, having a second radial width dimensioned to receive at least a further pair of legs during welding of the first pair of legs.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a stator of a disc-type motor and a winding method thereof. A circle of coil units (20) filled into coil slots (1) are arranged on a disc-shaped stator disc (12); jumper wire slots (10), fly wire slots (3) and jumper wire joint holes (7) are formed in the radial outer sides of the coil slots (1); and the coils are wound, overlapped and filled into the coil slots in a disc shape and are connected with one another in series by connecting wires embedded into the stator disc (12) in the same current direction.

    Abstract: A method for forming a multiwire structure having two conductive wires insulated from and bonded to each other by insulating material includes applying a first fluid coating material to a first conductive wire. The first conductive wire bearing the first fluid coating material is advanced through a first die forming a first electrically insulated conductive wire comprising a solid layer of a first insulating material on the first conductive wire. A second conductive wire is provided adjacent to the first electrically insulated conductive wire, and a second fluid coating material is applied to the second conductive wire. The first electrically insulated conductive wire and the adjacent second conductive wire bearing the second fluid coating material are then advanced through a second die to form a multiwire structure having two conductive wires electrically insulated from each other and bonded to each other by the first and second insulating materials.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to form concentrated motor windings may include bending wires into a U-shape, inserting the wires onto a stator pole, bending ends of the wires around the stator pole, and welding respective pairs of the ends of the bent wires. In some example embodiments, the U-shape may include a twist along a central portion thereof. In other example embodiments, a twist may be introduced along the respective pairs of bent ends of the wires that are then welded. In addition, the wires may be stacked and laterally inserted onto the stator pole. Further, the wire bending, twisting, insertion, welding, and other forming processes may be performed by automated or robotic machinery or equipment.
