    Abstract: Power conversion system includes a DC/DC conversion circuit, an energy tank, a switch, and a controller. DC/DC conversion circuit is configured to convert a first DC power into a second DC power and provide second DC power to a dynamic load. Energy tank is coupled to DC/DC conversion circuit. Switch is coupled between energy tank and DC/DC conversion circuit. Controller is coupled to energy tank and switch, and is configured to detect a first voltage of first DC power and a second voltage of second DC power to determine a change of dynamic load. When controller detects that first voltage is lower than a first preset voltage or detects that second voltage is lower than a second preset voltage, controller conducts switch so that a third DC power stored in energy tank is provided to DC/DC conversion circuit to compensate one of first DC power and second DC power.

    Abstract: This application discloses a converter and a power adapter, to reduce an energy loss of the power adapter. The converter includes a direct current power supply, a main power transistor, an auxiliary power transistor, a first capacitor, a transformer, and a control circuit. The first capacitor and the transformer are connected in series to form a series circuit. The series circuit is connected to a first terminal and a second terminal of the auxiliary power transistor in parallel. The control circuit is configured to: when the main power transistor is in a cutoff state and a target voltage reaches a target valley voltage, control the main power transistor to be conducted. The target voltage is a voltage between the first terminal of the main power transistor and the ground.

    Abstract: A power supply device according to an embodiment may include: a voltage generator configured to generate, from a commercial power supply, a first voltage and a second voltage lower than the first voltage; a voltage step-down part configured to decrease the first voltage to the second voltage; a bypass part configured to output the second voltage output from the voltage generator, with the voltage step-down part bypassed; and a controller configured, in a normal operation mode, to cause the voltage generator to generate and output the first voltage and to cause the voltage step-down part to operate and decrease the first voltage to the second voltage and output the second voltage, and configured, in a power-saving mode, to cause the voltage generator to generate the second voltage and output the second voltage through the bypass part without causing the voltage step-down part to operate.

    Abstract: Systems and methods relating to the integration of energy storage subsystems into components for use with systems that harvest energy from PV panels and convert that energy for use with a power grid. Various configurations of converters that integrate energy storage cells and the inverters that use such converters are presented. Half-bridge and full bridge configurations for the converters are presented. The integrated energy storage cells may be battery cells, supercapacitor cells, or a combination of the two. Digital control systems for controlling the converters as well as the charge and discharge cycles for the energy storage cells are also presented.

    Abstract: A secondary-side controller applied to a flyback power converter prevents a secondary side of the flyback power converter from conducting incorrectly. The secondary-side controller includes a first comparison circuit, a second comparison circuit, and a gate control signal generation circuit. The first comparison circuit generates a first comparison signal according to a drain voltage of a synchronous switch of the secondary side of the flyback power converter and a first parameter. The second comparison circuit generates a ready signal according to the first comparison signal and a resistance of an external resistor. The gate control signal generation circuit generates a gate control signal to the synchronous switch according the ready signal and the drain voltage, and the synchronous switch is turned on according to the gate control signal.

    Abstract: A direct current to direct current (DC-DC) converter can include a chip embedded integrated circuit (IC), one or more switches, and an inductor. The IC can be embedded in a PCB. The IC can include driver, switches, and PWM controller. The IC and/or switches can include eGaN. The inductor can be stacked above the IC and/or switches, reducing an overall footprint. One or more capacitors can also be stacked above the IC and/or switches. Vias can couple the inductor and/or capacitors to the IC (e.g., to the switches). The DC-DC converter can offer better transient performance, have lower ripples, or use fewer capacitors. Parasitic effects that prevent efficient, higher switching speeds are reduced. The inductor size and overall footprint can be reduced. Multiple inductor arrangements can improve performance. Various feedback systems can be used, such as a ripple generator in a constant on or off time modulation circuit.
