摘要: A capacitively coupled chopper instrumentation amplifier includes: an input chopper unit, configured to chop a differential input signal based on a clock signal to generate a chopped differential input signal; an output chopper unit, configured to chop a differential output signal based on the clock signal to generate a chopped differential output signal; a capacitor feedback network, configured to convert a differential difference of the chopped differential output signal and the chopped differential input signal to generate a differential feedback signal by a switching capacitor division voltage method with the input chopper unit and the output chopper unit; and a fully differential amplifier, which is configured to amplify the differential feedback signal to generate a differential output signal; wherein, in an initial period after the input chopper unit receives a differential input signal, the capacitively coupled chopper instrumentation amplifier prevents an output saturation by reducing a gain.

摘要: A stacked amplifier circuit includes an input stage having first and second input ports respectively defined by inputs of first and second transistors. A transformer arrangement includes first and second primary windings and first and second secondary windings. The first secondary winding is connected to an output of the first input transistor and the second secondary winding is connected to an output of the second input transistor. Portions of the magnetic fields generated by the primary windings couple to their respective secondary windings. An output stage is AC coupled to the first and second secondary windings and has an output connected to the first and second primary windings. The input stage and the output stage are arranged in a stacked configuration such that a bias current of the output stage is reused as bias current for the input stage.

摘要: This application relates to amplifier circuitry, in particular class-D amplifiers, operable in open-loop and closed-loop modes. An amplifier (300) has a forward signal path for receiving an input signal (SIN) and outputting an output signal (SOUT) and a feedback path operable to provide a feedback signal (SFB) from the output. A feedforward path provide a feedforward signal (SFF) from the input and a combiner (105) is operable to determine an error signal (ε) based on a difference between the feedback signal and the feedforward signal. The feedforward comprises a compensation module (201) configured to apply a controlled transfer function to the feedforward signal in the closed-loop mode of operation, such that an overall transfer function for the amplifier is substantially the same in the closed-loop mode of operation and the open-loop mode of operation.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the disclosure, a series or source feedback is provided to a solid-state power amplifier to achieve improved amplifier output power, good impedance match, and low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). In an embodiment, an inductive element is coupled to the source of the power amplifier transistor to serve as a series or source feedback for the transistor. In an embodiment, a high-impedance microstrip is provided as an inductive element coupled to the source of the transistor. In an embodiment, a series or source feedback is provided to each amplifier in a multistage amplifier circuit. In an embodiment, a greater series or source feedback is provided at a later stage of a multistage amplifier circuit, whereas a smaller series or source feedback is provided at an earlier stage of the multistage amplifier circuit.

摘要: A two-stage differential amplifier with cross-coupled compensation capacitors. The differential amplifier includes first amplifier circuitry receiving a differential input voltage and presenting first and second intermediate outputs. The amplifier further includes a second amplifier stage with a first leg having an input coupled to the second intermediate output of the first amplifier circuitry, and a second leg having an input coupled to the first intermediate output of the first amplifier circuitry. A compensation capacitor is provided for each leg of the second amplifier stage, each coupled between the output of that amplifier leg and its input. A first cross-coupled capacitor is coupled between the output of the first amplifier leg to the input of the second amplifier leg, and a second cross-coupled capacitor is coupled between the output of the second amplifier leg and the input of the first amplifier leg.

Methods and apparatus for a track-and-hold amplifier according to various aspects of the present invention may provide an isolation circuit configured to isolate transient current in a track-and-hold capacitor during a track phase. According to various embodiments, selective activation of the isolation circuit provides a settling time that is independent of the gain of the amplifier.

摘要: An acoustic apparatus includes a class-D amplifier including a current feedback circuit, and a speaker system including a voice coil driven by the class-D amplifier. The speaker system is configured such that, in a case where the speaker system is driven by an ordinary amplifier having a first output resistance lower than a second output impedance of the class-D amplifier, a Q factor of the speaker system falls below a predetermined lower limit of an ordinary Q factor range of an ordinary speaker system. The current feedback circuit is configured to increase the second output impedance of the class-D amplifier by feeding a current flowing to the voice coil back to an input of the class-D amplifier so as to increase a Q factor as the acoustic apparatus higher than the predetermined lower limit of the ordinary Q factor range and within the ordinary Q factor range.
