摘要: Systems and techniques for forward error correction decode processing power reduction are described herein. A first codeword is identified in a network transmission. A conditional decoding window is generated that begins with the first codeword. The conditional decoding window is aligned with a frame of the network transmission. A report is generated that includes an indication of relevance of the conditional decoding window to a network device. The conditional decoding window and the report are transmitted to the network device. A conditional decoding window is received that includes a first codeword. The first codeword is decoded to determine a second codeword. A report is obtained that includes a codeword relevance bit for the second codeword. Upon a determination that the codeword relevance bit indicates that the second codeword is irrelevant, the second codeword is discarded without decoding the second codeword.

摘要: A two-dimensional scalable high-power optical phased array architecture with beam steering is provided. The present disclosure is related to integrated optical transmitters wherein an array of antenna elements together with laser sources can transmit high-power optical signals. The optical transmitters can also beamform and steer the signal toward the desired direction. 摘要: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for built-in redundancy in optical devices that output an optical signal, for example, to photonic integrated circuits. The device and systems disclosed herein include a plurality of optical sources coupled to a plurality of waveguides. Each adjacent pair of the plurality of waveguides are coupled to an optical switching devices that comprises an interferometer having a first branch comprising a phase-shift mechanism coupled to one waveguide of the pair of waveguides. A voltage bias can be applied to the phase-shift mechanisms to tune a respective phase difference and direct an optical signal from any of the plurality of optical sources to the output end of the optical device. According to various examples disclosed herein, the phase-shift mechanisms comprises metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) capacitors.

摘要: An optical communication system including a hub optical transceiver, a power splitter, and a plurality of spoke transceivers. The hub optical transceiver is configured for receiving a spectrum of wavelengths. The power splitter is coupled to the hub optical transceiver, and operates as a passive device that is configured to replicate the spectrum of wavelengths and output a plurality of replicated spectrum of wavelengths, and each replicated spectrum of wavelengths has a corresponding power that is a fraction of a total power received from the hub optical transceiver. The plurality of spoke transceivers is coupled to the power splitter and each of the plurality of spoke transceivers is configured to receive a corresponding one of the plurality of replicated spectrum of wavelengths, wherein each spoke transceiver is tunable to select a band of wavelengths that set a bandwidth for the each spoke transceiver.
