    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, provided is a method for operating a network node such as an application function (AF) node in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: generating an AF request including information related to one or more data path latencies; and transmitting the information related to the one or more data path latencies to a session management function (SMF) node through a network exposure function (NEF) node.

    Abstract: A discovery application on a computing system is provided. The discovery application receives a user input, which is for discovery of resources associated with a cloud operating system of a cloud computing system. The user input includes an authentication credential and account information associated with the cloud operating system. Based on the received input, the discovery application executes a discovery pattern comprising operations for the discovery of resources. The cloud operating system includes a group of services to access such resources. At least one of the operations corresponds to an API call to an API endpoint associated with a service of the group of services. The discovery application receives a response to the API call from the cloud operating system. The response includes a payload of information associated with the resources. The discovery application updates, based on the received response, one or more configuration items in a configuration management database.

    Abstract: Methods and system for configuring a remote terminal unit (RTU) device of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The RTU device transmits an initial message payload to a SCADA server of the SCADA system via a broker server in accordance with a Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) messaging protocol. The initial message payload complies with a Sparkplug specification for MQTT and includes at least one metric name and initial data and at least one PropertySet object associated with the metric name indicative of at least one parameter of the RTU device to be configured. In response to the initial message payload, the SCADA server transmits a subsequent message payload to the RTU device via the broker server. The subsequent message payload also complies with the Sparkplug specification and includes one or more values for the PropertySet object for configuring the at least one parameter of the RTU device.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to generating, updating, modifying, and otherwise managing configurations for virtual services on a cloud computing system. The present disclosure provides example implementations of a configuration management system and configuration handlers on respective server nodes that receive and process requests for modifying one or more configurations that manage operation of virtual services on the cloud. Systems described herein involve leveraging a hierarchical model of configuration characteristics to facilitate both large and small scale modifications. Moreover, the systems described herein leverage a persistent store on server nodes to identify how to update a current base configuration and sub-version as well as synchronize modifications across a set of server nodes.
