摘要: A method of path MTU determination in Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) tunnel is presented. A source network device (ND) transmits, to a destination ND that is a second endpoint of the GRE tunnel, a first outer packet including a first inner packet, where the first inner packet includes a first inner header that is used to deliver the first inner packet to the source network device, a first inner GRE header, and a first payload. The source ND receives the first inner packet. The source ND transmits a second outer packet including a second inner packet that includes a second payload that has a size greater than a size of the first payload. The source ND determines that the second inner packet is not received and determines a path MTU between the source ND and the destination ND based on a size of the first and the second outer packets.

摘要: A method is provided to implement a fragmentation mechanism for a session between a 5G-RG and access gateway function (AGF) communicating over point to point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) that encapsulates control messages, where the 5G-RG or the AGF is a sender of a message. The method includes receiving the message to be sent that does not fit within a maximum transmission unit for the session, generating a first fragment of the message and a second fragment of the message, and sending the first fragment of the message and the second fragment of the message to a receiver, the second fragment including metadata with a length, and cyclic redundancy check.

摘要: Based on an initiation request for a first connection from a Virtual Private Network (VPN) user device intended for a target, a second connection is established between a VPN concentrator and the VPN user device across a VPN tunnel and a third connection is established between the VPN concentrator and the target. The second connection is established with a first Maximum Segment Size (MSS) and the third connection is established with a second MSS. A first round trip time (RTT) for the second connection is measured. A second RTT for the third connection is measured. Parameters of at least one of the second connection or the third connection are optimized, where first parameters of the second connection are optimized based on the first RTT and second parameters of the third connection are optimized based on the second RTT.

摘要: This disclosure provides a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for wireless communication at a modem, comprising receiving, via an interface with a host, an internet protocol (IP) packet including a first transport protocol header and a first IP header. The IP packet has a size greater than a maximum transport unit (MTU) size allowable for each packet transmitted over a communication link. The modem segments the IP packet into a plurality of segments based on a segment size indicated by a segmentation policy. Each segment includes a respective derived segment transport protocol header and a respective derived segment IP header derived from the IP packet. Each of these derived headers includes at least one field based on the segmentation policy, and each of the segment transport protocol headers includes a checksum for the respective segment. Additionally, the modem transmits the plurality of segments over the communication link.
