Abstract: Methods and computer systems for locking in offsets associated with resource requests. Receiving input of a resource request amount for a resource request, the resource request associated with a defined period of time and a property. Determining, based on data indicating one or more characteristics of the property, a metric representing an expected quantity of emissions over the defined period of time. Identifying an application programming interface capable of processing a request to lock in an amount for an offset product. Using the application programming interface and the metric to determine an offset amount to offset the expected quantity of emissions. Determining a periodic data transfer amount for the resource request that is based on the resource request amount and the offset amount. Outputting the periodic data transfer amount. Receiving an instruction to initiate the resource request and using the application programming interface to lock in the offset amount.

Abstract: An electrical computer system processing architecture for providing an indication of activity in the electrical computer system, the electrical computer system processing architecture comprising a plurality of client computers connected to at least one server by a computer network. Each of the client computers is configured to provide requests to the at least one server. The or each server comprises a store for storing requests provided by the plurality of client computers. The or each server is configured to match complementary requests from the plurality of client computers stored in the store. Following the matching of complementary requests, the or each server counts unmatched requests corresponding to one or other of the complementary requests in the store, and outputs the counted number of unmatched requests to provide the indication of activity in the computer system.

Abstract: This application discloses a service packet forwarding method and related apparatus. In the service packet forwarding method, when receiving a packet sent by any second virtual resource module connected to a first service function forwarder (SFF), the first SFF dynamically determines a forwarding path of the packet based on configuration information of a second virtual resource module for implementing a second service function, to achieve dynamic load balancing on the packet instead of relying on a service function chain ingress node to perform load balancing, so as to reduce pressure on the service function chain ingress node.

Abstract: A security function execution device in communication with a network. The device may include a processor, the processor is configured to: identify attributions of a plurality of nodes in communications with the network; determine criticality of each node of the plurality of nodes based on the attributions; and mediate communications between nodes of the plurality of nodes that are determined as being non-critical and execute security functions on the mediated communications.

Abstract: A system comprises a plurality of computing devices that are communicatively coupled via a network and have a file system distributed among them, and comprises one or more file system request buffers residing on one or more of the plurality of computing devices. File system choking management circuitry that resides on one or more of the plurality of computing devices is operable to separately control: a first rate at which a first type of file system requests (e.g., one of data requests, data read requests, data write requests, metadata requests, metadata read requests, and metadata write requests) are fetched from the one or more buffers, and a second rate at which a second type of file system requests (e.g., another of data requests, data read requests, data write requests, metadata requests, metadata read requests, and metadata write requests) are fetched from the one or more buffers.

Abstract: In an approach for proactive service group based auto-scaling, a processor collects usage data generated in one or more services in a container platform. A processor predicts access situation and resource utilization of the one or more services based on the usage data. A processor constructs a dynamic correlation topology among the one or more services based on the access situation and resource utilization. A processor identifies associated services correlated with the one or more services based on the dynamic correlation topology. A processor, in response to a service request exceeding a pre-set threshold, expands the one or more services and associated services.

Abstract: Information may be dynamically disseminated to network devices. In some embodiments, a data structure may be populated with first-type values and second-type values, a first delay time may be assigned to a first value of the first-type values based on the first value being associated with a first priority and a second delay time may be assigned to a second value of the first-type values based on the second value being associated with a second priority, and data structure information may be obtained from the data structure. The data structure information may be delivered such that the delivery of the data structure information to a first network device associated with the first value reflects the first delay time and the delivery of the data structure information to a second network device associated with the second value reflects the second delay time.
