摘要: The present subject matter relates to one or more devices, systems and/or methods for generating sealing current at a customer's premises or residence and injecting the sealing current into a DSL service provider's telephone cables to prevent the oxidation or corrosion of wire splices or connections on the telephone cables transporting DSL services. A cable pair stabilizer unit is connected at the customer's premises or residence, between the service provider's telephone cables and the customer's residential gateway/modem. The cable pair stabilizer unit comprises circuitry for generating the sealing current and for injecting the sealing current into the service provider's telephone cables transporting DSL services. The cable pair stabilizer unit may be combined with an AC/DC power supply adapter as a single, integrated device. The cable pair stabilizer unit may alternatively be combined with or inside of the Residential Gateway as a single, integrated device.

A system for adaptively selecting an isolation ground for a differential interface includes a first body having a first ground reference. The system additionally includes a second body having a second ground reference. Also, the system includes a common ground connection shared between the first body and second. 摘要: There are disclosed devices, system and methods for desired signal spotting in noisy, flawed environments by identifying a signal to be spotted, identifying a target confidence level, and then passing a pool of cabined arrays through a comparator to detect the identified signal, wherein the cabined arrays are derived from respective distinct environments. The arrays may include plural converted samples, each converted sample include a product of a conversion of a respective original sample, the conversion including filtering noise and transforming the original sample from a first form to a second form. Detecting may include measuring a confidence of the presence of the identified signal in each of plural converted samples using correlation of the identified signal to bodies of known matching samples. If the confidence for a given converted sample satisfies the target confidence level, the given sample is flagged.

摘要: A structure protects a SLIC telephone line interface against overvoltages lower than a negative threshold or higher than a positive threshold. The structure includes at least one thyristor connected between each conductor of the telephone line and a reference potential. For all of the included thyristors, a metallization corresponding to the main electrode on the gate side is in contact, by its entire surface, with a corresponding semiconductor region. Furthermore, the gate of each thyristor is directly connected to a voltage source defining one of the thresholds.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for wireline communication. A digital subscriber line (DSL) receiver may detect one or more power line communication (PLC) sound packets and measure PLC signal leakage on a set of DSL lines based on the detected sound packets. For example, PLC sound packets may be transmitted by PLC devices within a PLC network, and impulse noise received on the set of DSL lines corresponding to the transmitted PLC sound packet may be detected by a DSL receiver (such as a consumer premises equipment (CPE)). The DSL receiver may measure PLC signal leakage on the set of DSL lines based on the detected PLC sound packets. In some cases, the PLC sound packets may be detected based on a duration, a position, or an arrival time of a PLC sound packet.

摘要: Systems and methods for determining non-linear precoding coefficients are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of determining non-linear precoding coefficients for transmitting at least one frequency tone on lines includes obtaining a channel matrix that relates an input of the lines to an output of the lines for the at least one frequency tone. The method also includes computing a metric for each line in a subset of the lines and determining a line order for the subset of the lines based on the metric for each line in the subset of the lines. The method also includes reordering elements of the channel matrix based on the line order for the subset of the lines to create a reordered channel matrix and determining the non-linear precoding coefficients based on the reordered channel matrix. This may provide a systematic way to sort lines and balance the bit rates between different lines.

摘要: A system and method of matching reverberation in teleconferencing environments. When the two ends of a conversation are in environments with differing reverberations, the method filters the reverberation so that when both signals are output at the near end (e.g., the audio signal from the far end and the sidetone from the near end), the reverberations match. In this manner, the user does not perceive an annoying difference in reverberations, and the user experience is improved.
