摘要: Video data signals are encoded such that the encoded video data signal comprises at least a primary and at least a secondary video data signal. The primary and secondary video data signal are jointly compressed. The primary video data signal is compressed in a self-contained manner, and the secondary video data signal is compressed using data from the primary video data signal. The jointly compressed video data signal is split into separate bitstreams, at least a primary bitstream comprising data for the primary video data signal and at least a secondary bitstream comprising data for the secondary video data signal, whereafter the primary and secondary bitstreams are multiplexed into a multiplexed signal, and the primary and secondary signals are provided with separate codes.

摘要: A video coder receives data from a bitstream for a block of pixels to be encoded or decoded as a current block of a current picture of a video. Upon determining that an applied block setting of the current block satisfies a threshold condition, the video coder generates a first prediction based on a first motion information for a first prediction unit of the current block. The video coder generates a second prediction based on a second motion information for a second prediction unit of the current block. The video coder generates a third prediction based on the first and second motion information for an overlap prediction region that is defined based on a partitioning between the first prediction unit and the second prediction unit. The video coder encodes or decodes the current block by using the first, second, and third predictions.

摘要: A decoder includes an entropy decoder configured to derive a number of bins of the binarizations from the data stream using binary entropy decoding by selecting a context among different contexts and updating probability states associated with the different contexts, dependent on previously decoded portions of the data stream; a desymbolizer configured to debinarize the binarizations of the syntax elements to obtain integer values of the syntax elements; a reconstructor configured to reconstruct the video based on the integer values of the syntax elements using a quantization parameter, wherein the entropy decoder is configured to distinguish between 126 probability states and to initialize the probability states associated with the different contexts according to a linear equation of the quantization parameter, wherein the entropy decoder is configured to, for each of the different contexts, derive a slope and an offset of the linear equation from first and second four bit parts of a respective 8 bit initialization value.

摘要: Example point cloud encoding apparatus and point cloud decoding apparatus are provided for effectively encoding and decoding point cloud data. The point cloud encoding apparatus is configured for obtaining auxiliary information of a union occupancy map corresponding to a point cloud group, where the point cloud group includes N frames of point clouds, N≥2, and N is an integer. The union occupancy map is a union set of occupancy maps of N patches having a matching relationship in the N frames of point clouds, and the auxiliary information of the union occupancy map is used to determine auxiliary information of the N patches. A syntax element is encoded into a bitstream, where the syntax element includes the auxiliary information of the union occupancy map.

The method further comprises, responsive to a first value of the syntax indicator, decoding the first coded sample information using a picture header syntax element from a picture header of the encoded bitstream. The method further comprises, responsive to the first value of the syntax indicator, decoding the second coded sample information using the picture header syntax element from the picture header of the encoded bitstream.

摘要: A motion estimation technique finds first and second candidate bi-directional motion vectors for a first region of an interpolated frame of video content by performing double ended vector motion estimation on the first region. One of these candidate bi-directional motion vectors is selected, and used to identify a remote region of the interpolated frame. This remote region is located at an off-set location from the first region, and is found based on an endpoint of the selected candidate bi-directional motion vector. A remote motion vector for the remote region of the interpolated frame is obtained, and one or more properties of this remote motion vector are used to bias a selection between the first and second candidate vectors.
