摘要: A spatial complexity and a temporal complexity associated with one or more frames of media content may be determined. Based on the spatial complexity and the temporal complexity of the media content, a Group of Picture (GOP) size for the one or more frames of the media content may be determined. The GOP size may be inversely proportional to the spatial complexity and the temporal complexity of the one or more frames of media content. Certain frames of the media content may be arranged in a different GOP size as compared to one or more other frames of the media content. By varying the GOP size of the plurality of frames of the media content, the bitrate required to transmit the media content may be decreased without decreasing or substantially decreasing the overall quality of the media content.

摘要: A compression system trains a machine-learned compression model that includes components for an encoder and decoder. In one embodiment, the compression model is trained to receive parameter information on how a target frame should be encoded with respect to one or more encoding parameters, and encodes the target frame according to the respective values of the encoding parameters for the target frame. In particular, the encoder of the compression model includes at least an encoding system configured to encode a target frame and generate compressed code that can be transmitted by, for example, a sender system to a receiver system. The decoder of the compression model includes a decoding system trained in conjunction with the encoding system. The decoding system is configured to receive the compressed code for the target frame and reconstruct the target frame for the receiver system.

The video data is encoded into a prespecified format. Encoding includes accessing the GOP files containing the video data in the group of pictures format, and encoding the video data into the prespecified format using the GOP files to generate an encoded video.

Therefore, accuracy of quality assessment is higher.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for providing attribute-based search of media assets such as video and audio assets, and associated augmented reality functions including dynamic provision of relevant secondary content relating to the identified attribute(s). In one embodiment, media or content assets are ingested into a processing system and processed according to one or more attribute detection, identification, and characterization algorithms. Attributes detected may include for example the presence of tangible items such as clothing or chattels, particular persons such as celebrities, and/or certain contexts such as sporting activities and musical performances, as rendered within the media asset. In one implementation, the characterized assets are provided a unique ID, and stored so as to permit cross-correlation based on, e.g., the identified and characterized attributes. Secondary content (e.g., advertising or promotional content) is correlated to each identified asset, and dynamically served upon a user providing some threshold level of interaction with the attribute.

摘要: A video coding method can include receiving, by processing circuitry of a coding device, a current picture in a group of pictures (GOP) of a layered coding structure in video sequence. The current picture can have two reference pictures. A current layer of the current picture in the layered coding structure can be determined. A current quantization parameter (QP) offset of the current picture can be determined according to the current layer of the current picture. Reference QPs corresponding to the two reference pictures of the current picture can be determined. A current QP of the current picture can be determined according to the reference QPs and the current QP offset. The current picture can be coded according to the current QP.
