摘要: One example method of video processing includes implementing, by a processor, a decoder-side motion vector derivation (DMVD) scheme for motion vector refinement during a conversion between a current video block and a bitstream representation of the current video block by deriving parameters based on a deriving rule. The conversion may include compressing the current video block into the bitstream representation or uncompressing the bitstream representation into pixel values of the current video block.

摘要: A method for transmitting a bitstream via a network is provided. The bitstream being generated by: deriving a first candidate having a first motion vector that has been used to code a first block; deriving a second candidate having a second motion vector and a first reference picture index value that identifies a first reference picture corresponding to the second motion vector, with the second motion vector being a first zero vector; deriving a third candidate having a third motion vector and a second reference picture index value that identifies a second reference picture corresponding to the third motion vector, with the third motion vector being a second zero vector. One candidate from a plurality of candidates, including the first, second, and third candidate is selected, and an index identifying the selected one candidate is coded.

摘要: A bit-depth representation method, apparatus, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are provided. A decoder obtains a reference picture I associated with a video block within the video signal. The decoder obtains prediction samples of the video block from a reference block in the reference picture I. The decoder controls internal PROF parameters of a PROF derivation process by applying right-shifting to the internal PROF parameters based on a bit-shift value to achieve a preset precision. The decoder obtains prediction refinement values for samples in the video block based on the PROF derivation process being applied to the video block based on the prediction samples. The decoder obtains prediction samples of the video block based on the combination of the prediction samples and the prediction refinement values.

摘要: A method performed by a video decoder includes receiving a coded video bitstream including a current picture, a first reference picture, a second reference picture, and a joint motion vector difference (JMVD) associated with at least one block in the current picture. The method includes determining whether one or more scaling factors are used for an adaptive motion vector difference resolution (AMVD) based JMVD based on a predetermined condition. The method includes, in response to determining the one or more scaling factors are used for the AMVD based JMVD, scaling the JMVD based on the one or more scaling factors. The method includes deriving a first MVD for the first reference picture based on the scaled JMVD. The method includes deriving a second MVD for the second reference picture based on the derived first MVD. The method includes reconstructing the at least one block based on the derived first MVD and the derived second MVD.

摘要: Embodiments of video coding systems and methods are described for reducing coding latency introduced by decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR). In one example, two non-refined motion vectors are identified for coding of a first block of samples (e.g. a first coding unit) using bi-prediction. One or both of the non-refined motion vectors are used to predict motion information for a second block of samples (e.g. a second coding unit). The two non-refined motion vectors are refined using DMVR, and the refined motion vectors are used to generate a prediction signal of the first block of samples. Such embodiments allow the second block of samples to be coded substantially in parallel with the first block without waiting for completion of DMVR on the first block. In additional embodiments, optical-flow-based techniques are described for motion vector refinement.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for encoding or decoding a video signal. According to the present invention, a plurality of reference units for image prediction of the current unit is acquired and combined to obtain a unit prediction value, thereby improving the accuracy of image prediction. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for inducing a variety of reference units using a motion vector prediction value or a motion vector which is used in conventional inter-prediction, and also relates to a method which combines the reference units so as to obtain the prediction value for the current unit. In addition, the present invention relates to a method which involves acquiring a plurality of reference units for a merging mode, and combining the reference units so as to perform image prediction.
