摘要: A system and associated functionality are described for enabling replacement of in-content advertising (ICA) content in programming segments without creating and distributing full program versions. One or more ICA opportunities (702) are provided in a programming stream (700). To enable replacement of less than the whole program, a replaceable program segment (704) is defined that encompasses the one or more ICA opportunities (702). Multiple versions (706) of the programming segment (704) can then be generated each including different ICA content for the ICA opportunity (702). Individual viewers or viewers belonging to different demographic groups or geographic zones, among other possibilities, may then receive an appropriate one of the versions (706) of the programming segment (704). A trigger (708) may be provided at a time prior to the beginning of the programming segment (704) to facilitate or enable insertion of the appropriate version (706).

摘要: Methods and systems for enhancing service compatibility are described. A request for content can be received from a client (e.g., user device). A first resource locator for at least a portion of the content can be encoded with service information. A second resource locator indicating a redirect device can comprise the encoded first resource locator and the service information. The client can request at least the portion of the content from a redirect device using the second resource locator. The redirect device can process the request by decoding the first resource locator and service information and sending the service information to a service. The redirect device can send the first resource locator to the client. The client can request at least the portion of the content from a content device using the first resource locator.

The first portion of the multi-part content item is displayed to a user of the client device via a first application executed by the client device. The method also includes providing an authentication token and an identification of a state of execution of the multi-part content item to the content server, and subsequently requesting a second content item, the request comprising the authentication token. The method also includes receiving a second portion of the multi-part content item, the second portion of the multi-part content item displayed to the user of the client device via a different, second application executed by the client device. The second portion is selected by the content server based on the state of execution of the multi-part content item.

摘要: A system and method for multimedia scene break detection, including: a computer processor, a scene break detection service executing on the computer processor and comprising functionality to: (i) receive a request for scene break detection on the media item, (ii) perform audio break detection on an audio component of the media item to obtain a set of audio break timestamps, (iii) identify a set of video break timestamps, each corresponding to at least one frame of a video component of the media item, (iv) identify a set of candidate scene break timestamps based on the audio break timestamps and the video break timestamps, (v) execute a computer vision scoring model for each candidate scene break timestamp, and (vi) select, based at least on a score of each of the set of candidate scene break timestamps, a final set of scene break timestamps for performing a media action.
