    摘要: A liquid crystal television increases or decreases a gradation value when the gradation value of an image signal to be displayed on a liquid crystal panel is within a prescribed range. Further, the liquid crystal television decreases or increases the luminance depending to the gradation value of the image signal based on the increase or decrease in the gradation value. The liquid crystal television applies a voltage depending on the gradation value after the change to the liquid crystal panel, such that a transmittance in the liquid crystal panel is changed (increased or decreased). Further, the liquid crystal television controls each light source to emit light with the luminance after the change, such that the luminance of the light radiated to the liquid crystal panel from the light source is changed (decreased or increased).

The chassis includes a bottom plate that includes a light source supporting portion and a light guide plate supporting portion. The bottom plate includes a surface on which the light source and the light guide plate are arranged. The flexible circuit board is bent and a portion thereof is opposed to another surface of the light source supporting portion. The signal transmission circuit board is arranged over the other surface. The first heat dissipation member is sandwiched between the light guide plate supporting portion and the flexible circuit board and in contact with the other surface and with the flexible circuit board.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a display device and a display method. The display device comprises a display panel and a video stream provider, wherein the display panel comprises a display screen and a separation module; the video stream provider provides one or two video streams, the one or two video streams are coded before entering the display screen to form a video signal source, and the video signal source is input to the display screen in a single-channel form; and when the video stream provider provides two video streams, the separation module separates a picture displayed in the display screen into two pictures respectively specific to the two video streams to realize double-view display. In the present invention, the two video streams are provided by the same video stream provider and may be previously coded, so that the complexity of transmission of the video signal source is greatly reduced.

    摘要: A lighting system for accenting a region of a target surface comprising a color matching engine, a plurality of light sources, a color capture device configured to measure light reflected by a target surface, and a computerized device configured to operate the plurality of light sources to emit an analysis light so as to be incident upon the target surface and identify a region of the target surface that reflects two or more wavelength ranges of light using a pattern recognition algorithm, defining a detected pattern having wavelength ranges. The color matching engine is configured to perform a matching operation that operates to determine dominant wavelength(s) of the wavelength ranges and polychromatic lights including or excluding dominant wavelength(s). The computerized device operates the light sources to emit a combined light being sequentially each of the polychromatic lights.

The regions may be configured to represent recognizable characters or images, and may form a sequence. The lighting system may highlight the regions individually or simultaneously. The layer may be attachable to a surface and may further include non-highlighted regions. The system may also include appliqués applied to a surface and a cover layer transparent to certain wavelengths of light that the appliqués scatter.

With the arrangement it is possible to extend a pixel charging time of an individual-writing type liquid crystal display device including the present active matrix substrate.

    摘要: A projector for projecting diffracted light in a selectable pattern and/or animation on a display surface. The apparatus includes a light source providing one or more beams of coherent light from one or more lasers. The apparatus includes a diffraction assembly in the path of the light source to generate diffracted light by diffracting the laser light with one, two, or more diffraction grating patterns and, optionally, with a diffraction glass or other material. An active mask is provided with a raster that receives the diffracted light and that includes a plurality of optical shutter elements that are selectively operable to project a portion of the diffracted light from the active mask toward the display surface. In one example, the active mask includes a liquid crystal display panel to provide a grid of addressable programmable pixels that are turned on and off to project portions of the diffracted light.

    摘要: A display apparatus to receive a picture signal containing information of a picture and to process the picture signal using at least an area distinguishing the picture from another picture includes a motion detector to detect whether there is a motion in the area of the picture signal, a hysteresis generator to output hysteresis information on each area according to a detected result of the motion detector from a previous frame up to a current frame, a moving picture detector to detect whether the picture signal is a moving picture signal or a still picture signal in the area on the basis of the hysteresis information, and a gradation level converter to convert the picture signal corresponding to the area into either a group of gradation levels for a moving picture to display the moving picture signal or a group of gradation levels for a still picture to display the still picture signal according to a detecting result of the moving picture detector. With this configuration, a false contour of a moving picture signal can be attenuated, thereby minimizing a flicker.
