Abstract: An image processing system enables a user wearing a head-mounted display to experience a virtual environment combined with a representation of a real-world object. The image processing system receives a captured scene of a real-world environment that includes a target object. The image processing system identifies the target object in the captured scene and generates a representation of the target object. In some cases, the image processing system may include a graphical overlay with the representation of the target object. The image processing system can generate a combined scene that includes the target object and the virtual environment. The combined scene is presented to the user, thereby allowing the user to interact with the real-world target object (or a representation thereof) in combination with the virtual environment.

Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may facilitate the generation of a virtual reconstruction model of a vehicle collision. UAVs may collect data (including images) related to the vehicle collision, such as with the insured's permission, which may be received by an external computing device associated with the insurer and utilized to perform a photogrammetric analysis of the images to determine vehicle impact points, the road layout at the scene of the collision, the state of the traffic light at the scene of the collision, the speeds and directions of vehicles, etc. This data may be used to generate a virtual reconstruction model of the vehicle collision. An insurer may use the virtual reconstruction model to perform various insurance-related tasks, such as allocating fault to drivers or autonomous vehicles involved in the vehicle collision, and adjustment of insurance pricing based upon the fault allocation.

Abstract: In response to an operation such as power-on or power-off, channel change and sound volume change, a television set combined with a personal computer automatically makes e-mail with information in a predetermined format indicative of the operation attached. The e-mail is automatically sent to another television set to inform the other television set of operation of the own television set. On the other hand, the e-mail can be sent to a rating company for audience share survey. The television set automatically reads the received e-mail and attachment to change the indication of display. The television set has storage of the received information for analysis of an abnormality. Abnormality can be also sensed through abnormal act on the remote controller apt to be taken by a person in panic or off the truck. The television set refuses information from unknown address for blocking an attack of a stranger.

Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may facilitate insurance-related tasks. UAVs may actively be dispatched to an area surrounding a property, and collect data related to property. A location for an inspection of a property to be conducted by a UAV may be received, and one or more images depicting a view of the location may be displayed via a user interface. Additionally, a geofence boundary may be determined based on an area corresponding to a property boundary, where the geofence boundary represents a geospatial boundary in which to limit flight of the UAV. Furthermore, a navigation route may be determined which corresponds to the geofence boundary for inspection of the property by the UAV, the navigation route having waypoints, each waypoint indicating a location for the UAV to obtain drone data. The UAV may be directed around the property using the determined navigation route.

A driving assistance system including: a first detection section that detects an obstacle from a plurality of captured images of a rear side of a driver of a vehicle; a second detection section that detects the obstacle by analyzing a reflected wave of a measurement wave transmitted to the rear side; and an information output section that determines a direction in which the obstacle is located with respect to the vehicle on the basis of detection results of the first detection section and the second detection section, and that outputs warning information indicating the direction.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system for monitoring a level of hydraulic fluid in an agricultural sprayer includes a drive system, a hydraulic fluid system, and a fill level sensor. The system also includes a computing system communicatively coupled to both the drive system and the fill level sensor. The computing system is configured to monitor the level of hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic fluid reservoir based on data received from the fill level sensor. The computing system is further configured to detect a leak condition in the hydraulic fluid system based at least in part on the monitored level of the hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic fluid reservoir and control an operation of the drive system to reduce the ground speed of the agricultural sprayer in response to detecting the leak condition.

Abstract: A driver assistance system includes a first measuring device for determining the distances to a water surface, which includes at least two distance sensors. A first distance sensor measures a first distance to a water surface, in that the distance is determined perpendicularly downward from the first sensor to the water surface, and the second distance sensor measures a second distance to a water surface, in that the distance is also determined perpendicularly downward from the second sensor to the water surface. A second measuring device determines an instantaneous pitch angle of the vehicle. A processing unit is coupled to the first and second measuring devices. The processing unit determines an instantaneous water surface plane as a function of the first distance, the second distance, and the instantaneous pitch angle of the vehicle. A display unit indicates the instantaneous water surface plane in relation to the vehicle.
