Thus, a camp-on communication can be established even where a camp-on-registered subscriber changes his communication terminal of actual use.

    摘要: In the present invention, a target receiver terminal information storage unit stores a plurality of target receiver terminal numbers corresponding to a plurality of target receiver terminals. The control unit determines idle/busy information stored with a corresponding terminal number as a pair, selects a target receiver terminal number according to a predetermined priority, and outputs the selected number. A sender can thereby automatically call up an appropriate target receiver terminal by dialing a registered receiver identification number. The control unit uses connection information as well as idle/busy information as a determining element in selecting a number. Therefore, a registered number conversion service user can distribute calls to a plurality of target receiver terminals. Besides, the user can select a plurality of target receiver terminal numbers through an inquiry to a switching unit about the idle/busy state without storing idle/busy information or connection information in the storage unit.

    摘要: Use codes representative of uses of calls are defined as a part of a network numbering plan, and a route or a destination for a call is selected in full or in part on the basis of the use code dialed by a caller in conjunction with the called number via a call-processing arrangement (200) that uses stored definitions of syntax (320, 350) and grammar (400, 410) of the network numbering plan. The syntax definitions are definitions (312) of individual symbol strings, including the use codes, and include the string's associated virtual nodepoint index (VNI 334) which indicates the string's influence on call route selection, an indicator (339) of whether the VNI is to be combined with a VNI resulting from any preceding strings in the caller-dialed symbol-sequence, an indicator (338) of whether the VNI resulting from this symbol string is to be combined with a VNI of any succeeding symbol strings in the symbol sequence, and an indicator (333) of the string's influence on destination selection that specifies whether, and how, the symbols of the string are to be modified. The dialed symbol sequence is parsed (340) into symbol strings and the definitions of those symbol strings are used to selectively combine (341) their VNIs and modify (342) their symbols to form a resulting VNI and symbol sequence that specifies the route and the destination for the call.

The reference table collates the station number of the telephone registered in correspondence with a personal telephone number with the subscriber loop address at which the particular telephone is being connected, and when a call for connection is made under the personal telephone number, the connection is made to the telephone by referring to the reference table, calling the loop address at which the telephone registered under the personal telephone number is currently connected, and connecting the call under control to the telephone registered under the particular personal telephone number. The station numbers are allocated to telephones respectively in the order of manufacture or distribution in accordance with a certain rule to avoid duplication.

    摘要: In a network (10) of voice-mail message service systems (12-14), each system includes an arrangement (22) for automatically moving the serving of one or more subscribers from itself to another system. In response to administrator (29) input, the source system retrieves each moving subscriber's mailbox (200) contents, translates subscriber I.D.s appearing therein into universal names and extension numbers, and transfers the translated contents, including delivery lists (222) and messages (211), to the destination system. The destination system creates a new mailbox for each moved subscriber, translates the universal information into subscriber I.D.s, and populates the new mailbox with the transferred contents. The source system informs third systems of the move, so they can update their information. During audits, the source and destination systems search their databases to find any information affected by the move and update it; the source system also deletes the moved subscribers' old mailboxes.

    摘要: A distributed control switching system where the system control units cooperatively perform the terminating port determination function. The control unit associated with the terminating port stores sequence call data defining whether calls are to be completed to that terminating port or are to be forwarded to another directory number. Upon determining that a given call is a sequence call, the control unit associated with the original terminating port determines the terminating port defined by the second directory number and effects a reduction of the sequence call to a simple call between the originating port and the second terminating port. This is done either by transmitting a control message defining the originating and terminating ports to the control unit associated with the second terminating port or by returning the setup sequence to the control unit associated with the originating port which then frees any switching system resources previously allocated to the call and transmits the control message. In either case, the control unit associated with the second terminating port completes the call without knowing whether the call is a sequence call or a simple call completed to the original terminating port.

    摘要: A telecommunication switching system adapted to be connected to lines and trunks has a digital switching network and a control complex for executing system operational functions by program operated processors in response to dialed numbers received from stations in separate customer groups. Customer groups are groups of stations on discrete sets of lines served by the system, all customer groups sharing the hardware forming said switching system while all operational functions are normally separately executed for each customer group in response to dialed numbers included within a separate comprehensive number plan for each customer group. Representative system operational functions include processing standard calls between stations on lines in the same customer group and processing conference calls between multiple stations. The control complex provides a dialed number to function translator in the form of addressable data base memory which provides function-instruction data in a multiple level table structure of separate groups of locations for each customer group of stations, each location having coded electrical signals representing an identifier word including an instruction to execute one system operational function. The data base memory also provides restricted class of service information among customer groups. The processors address locations in memory fields in response to coded electrical signals representing an originating station, and address locations in the table structure in response to the combination of coded electrical signals representing a dialed number received from said originating station and those identifying the customer group of said originating station.
