A first node which is a CU in a first IAB donor node, receives a first message from a second node which is a CU in a second IAB donor node, where the first message indicates to reconfigure a resource that is in a first topology and that is used to serve first traffic, the first topology is a topology controlled by a first node, and the first traffic is traffic of a third node or traffic of a downstream node of the third node; and reconfigures, based on the first message, the resource that is in the first topology and that is used to serve the first traffic. There is an RRC connection between the third node and each of the first node and the second node, there is an F1 connection between the third node and the second node.

    摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a first edge network including a compute resource configured according to a requirement of a network slice to obtain a primary network slice adapted to provide a network service to equipment of a mobile consumer according to a service level requirement. A second edge network at a different location is identified including a first reserve compute resource available for configuration. Remote configuration of the first reserve compute resource is initiated according to the requirement of the network slice to obtain a first backup network slice adapted to provide the network service. Operation of the primary network slice is monitored, and a first performance issue is identified. Responsive to the first performance issue, a providing of the network service is reconfigured from the primary network slice to the first backup network slice. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要: The caching method for F-RAN based communications in a mmWave communication system includes receiving a request for a network function generated from a requesting mobile station at a layer-two fog node closest to the requesting mobile station. In a clustered caching method, the network functions a cached on a layer-three cluster fog node servicing a cluster or layer two fog nodes. In a distributed caching method, a single, unique network function is cached on each of the layer-two fog nodes in the cluster, which are serially polled until the requested network function. The requested network function is executed at the layer-two or layer three fog node having the network function cached thereon in order to reduce fronthaul communications with layer four cloud nodes for greater efficiency.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an architecture for an edge computing platform based on an underlying wireless mesh network. The architecture includes nodes installed with equipment for operating as part of a wireless mesh network, including (1) a first tier of one or more Point of Presence (PoP) node, (2) a second tier of one or more seed nodes that are each directly connected to at least one PoP node via a PoP-to-seed wireless link, and (3) a third tier of one or more anchor nodes that are each connected to at least one seed node either (i) directly via a seed-to-anchor wireless link or (ii) indirectly via one or more intermediate anchor nodes, one or more anchor-to-anchor wireless links, and one seed-to-anchor wireless link, where at least one node in each of these tiers is further installed with equipment for operating as part of an edge computing platform.
