According to an embodiment, the mobile communication terminal includes at least two memories to store data; and a controller, wherein if the controller loses its control authority for one of the at least two memories while certain data is read and processed from the one of the at least two memories, the controller reads and processes the same certain data or related data stored in another one of the at least two memories.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for determining and maintaining user presence information include capturing user presence data with an application presence server. The application presence server can be configured to update user presence data as a user initiates or exits an application. Applications associated with user presence data are configured to query an application proxy client concerning user presence data of a selected user and, based on a returned user status, deliver, discard, or redirect a message intended for the user. User presence data is stored in a user presence repository and can be provided via Internet-based or other connections to applications executed on external networks. User activity status can be used to select or update user presence data. In some examples, an application server of an external network is configured to receive user presence data from the presence server.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a portable radio frequency (RF) paging system providing conventional beeping, vibration, and illumination alarms as well as playing or transmitting a pre-recorded message to a responder. The paging system comprises transmitter and receiver modules. The transmitter portion of the paging system is to be capable of digitally recording a verbal message for replay or transmission to the receiver upon initiation of a page. The receiver portion of the paging system is housed within a pen-shaped enclosure which may be conveniently attached to a responder's pocket while also functioning as a normal writing instrument.

    摘要: A computing device with a software defined radio. The software defined radio has an architecture with separate components to provide control functions and data processing functions. The control components configure the data processing components so that the software defined radio provides desired operating characteristics. To facilitate programming the software defined radio to communicate according to one or more wireless technologies, the computing device may include a library of wireless technology specifications. By accessing a technology specification in the library, the control components can determine an appropriate configuration of the data processing components for a selected wireless technology. The data processing components may be hardware or software and, if hardware and software components are available to perform a data processing function, the control components may select between the hardware and software components depending on throughput, processor loading or other criteria.

A representative system incorporates a user interface and scheduling software that receives scheduling data, at least some of which is provided via the user interface, and generates scheduling constraints. The scheduling data includes historical call connect rates related to time intervals for which a schedule is to be generated and information corresponding to a desired service goal for the schedule. The desired service goal indicates a level of service to be provided by the schedule. The search engine uses the scheduling constraints to generate potential schedules for outbound agents. The push forward discrete modeler analyzes the potential schedules to compute at least one of overstaffing and understaffing with respect to the potential schedules.
