摘要: A Mobile Wireless Broadband Network Interface Card (MWBNIC) for networking electronic devices on a wireless broadband spectrum. The MWBNIC is built into electronic devices as a connecting modem or plugged in via external device ports such as USB. A microprocessor chip attached to a circuit board with a network packet controller coupled to a dedicated cache memory utilized to temporarily store the last N data packets from a node for networking WIFI maintains packet continuity. The network comes with protocols that control packet processing. The MWBNIC embedded packet control protocol (PCP) pushes, pops, compares and deletes packets from cache when a device is in motion. The PCP is connected to a mechanism for determining bandwidth on nodes, another mechanism for switching frequency to that of the next K-Node to connect to and a pre-determined connectivity data set that directly connects the modem in motion are means for networking broadband spectrum.

Effectively, the disclosed framework can provide trackers with an adaptive Internet of Things (IoT)-type network that leverages connectivity nodes of specific networks to provide and maintain connectivity the tracker as the tracker traverses the real-world. Moreover, the tracker can provide capabilities that automatically can detect specific types of events, which can trigger notifications, alerts and/or remedial measures that are all enabled via the novel network connectivity provided via the disclosed framework.

摘要: To facilitate a handover of mobile devices from 5th Generation New Radio (5G) networks to 4th Generation (4G) networks, an accessibility and mobility management function (AMF) of the 5G network core inactivates a data session in which the mobile device is assigned an Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) address when the mobile device is to be assigned an IP version 4 (IPv4) address in the 4G network. The AMF generates a modified context of the mobile device that omits the IPv6 address of the device. The inactivation of the IPv6 session causes the mobile device to initiate a new data session with the 4G core network, in which the device will be assigned an IPv4 address for use on the 4G network. The modified context is used by the 4G network to configure communications for the mobile device without interrupting network service to the mobile device.

This may include Layer 1 and/or Layer 2 (L1/L2) signaling for a user equipment (UE) moving between cells in a network. The signaling can reduce the mobility interruption time and improve robustness of a handover. The movement may be triggered by the network or the UE. A Layer 1 and/or Layer 3 (L1/L3) measurement is used for the inter-cell mobility. The mobility may be coordinated based on interactions between a centralized unit (CU) and a distributed unit (DU). The procedures can reduce interruption time and improve reliability.
