A method performed by a UE in a communication system includes transmitting, to a base station, capability information including a capability to support an energy saving mode of the base station, the energy saving mode of the base station being based on cell DTX, receiving, from the base station, information associated with a measurement for the energy saving mode of the base station, identifying that the base station operates according to the energy saving mode, and receiving, from the base station, a reference signal for measurement based on the information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, one or more control signals indicating information associated with a set of occasions for a transmission time interval (TTI) corresponding to a low power operation mode of the UE. For example, the set of occasions may include one or more of a wake up signal (WUS) monitoring occasion, a synchronization signal block (SSB) occasion, a channel state information (CSI) reporting occasion, and a discontinuous reception (DRX) on duration occasion. The UE may determine whether to skip the WUS monitoring occasion based on a respective duration and a respective start time for each occasion of the set of occasions associated with the information indicated by the one or more control signals.

    Abstract: When performing data transmission with a first station in a bandwidth power saving mode by using an operating channel of the first station, an access point performs data transmission with a second station by using an operating channel of the second station. Therefore, even if the operating channel of the first station includes a primary channel, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using another channel. Further, for the access point, although the operating channel of the first station occupies only a part of available bandwidth resources of the access point, the access point can still perform data transmission with the second station by using a remaining channel.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and an apparatus. The communication method includes: A terminal device in a satellite service range receives first indication information indicating the terminal device to notify a network when the terminal device is in an idle state or a suspended state and is about to leave the satellite service range. The terminal device in the idle state or the suspended state determines that the terminal device is about to leave the satellite service range, and in this case, reports second indication information indicating that the terminal device is about to leave the satellite service range. In this way, a network side learns whether the terminal device in the idle state or the suspended state has left the satellite service range, thereby avoiding invalid paging.
