Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to sidelink communication between user equipments (UEs). A first UE determines a power level for a physical sidelink format indicator channel (PSFCH) with multiple interlaced resource blocks (RBs) and/or a common interlace. If a reference power level is provided by a network device such as a base station, the UE may determine power levels based on the reference power level. The UE may also determine power levels based on maximum supported power levels for the UE. In some embodiments, a common interlace uses a fixed percentage of maximum UE power. In other embodiments, available transmit power is evenly split between PSFCH RBs and a common interlace. Priority PSFCH dropping rules may be implemented when scheduled PSFCHs exceed power limitations.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. Various aspects relate to initial physical random access channel (PRACH) power control using multiple PRACH signals, and more particularly to supporting one or more initialization and power control operations between a user equipment (UE) and a network entity prior to an association process. The initial PRACH power control may include the UE transmitting, to the network entity, a first set of PRACH signals at different respective power levels. The network entity may transmit a response message indicating a single set of PRACH signals detected by the network entity, and the UE may detect whether a first PRACH signal, of the first set of PRACH signals, is included in the single set of PRACH signals to select a power level associated with the first PRACH signal for transmitting association messages.

Abstract: A base station is provided which notifies a mobile station of transmission power information for an uplink RACH, the mobile station transmits transmission delay estimation information on the RACH to the base station over the RACH at a transmission power based on the transmission power information, and the base station changes the transmission power information according to the transmission delay estimation information and notifies the mobile station of the changed transmission power information. The mobile station retransmits data or a preamble if the mobile station does not receive a notification that the base station has received the data or the preamble correctly after a predetermined time. The base station transmits the transmission power information over a BCH and a CPICH transmitted to a plurality of mobile stations.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided, where a respective reference signal associated with each of one or more downlink transmit antenna ports in a wireless communication network is received. A value is determined for each of one or more measurable characteristics relative to each of the received reference signals. One or more parameters are received, the parameters including one or more adjustments, where each adjustment is specific to one of the downlink transmit antenna ports and include adjustments in the form of one or more respective offset values to be applied to at least some of the one or more determined values of the measurable characteristics of the received reference signals. At least one downlink transmit antenna port is then to function as a serving downlink transmit antenna port for the user equipment, based upon a comparison of the resulting values of the measurable characteristics of the received reference signals after the received one or more adjustments have been applied to the corresponding determined values.
