摘要: A tracking system can provide configuration instructions to an electronic device based on user presence. The tracking system can determine a user’s location relative to a geographic boundary surrounding a geographic area associated with the user. Depending on the user’s location, the tracking system may send instructions to configure an electronic device to send a notification or change the operating mode of the electronic device in response to the user’s presence. The electronic device may be a scanning device that is configured to have a higher or lower scanning frequency, depending on the presence or absence of the user relative to the scanning device.

This application implements measurement of locations and instantaneous speeds of a plurality of passive targets.

摘要: A wireless communication system comprises a host device (110) and mobile devices (120) arranged for wireless communication and for distance (140) measurement. The host device has a user interface (113) comprising a connect button (115), and is arranged to execute a connection sequence upon a user activating the connect button. The connection sequence first determines respective distances between the host and respective mobile devices. A first mobile device is identified exhibiting a movement. Then a connection action is executed regarding a connection between the first mobile device and the host device. The mobile device is arranged for executing a ranging protocol and, upon subsequently receiving a connection message, executing a connection action regarding a connection between the first mobile device and the host device. Effectively a connection may be established upon the user of a mobile device pressing a single button on a selected host device and moving the mobile device.

摘要: This document describes systems and techniques to generate refined location estimates using ultra-wideband (UWB) communication links. Mobile devices, such as smartphones, include location sensors to estimate their location. The accuracy of location sensors is generally about 3 meters (or about 10 feet). More accurate location data would allow mobile devices to provide new and improved functionality. The described systems and techniques determine the distance between nearby mobile devices using UWB communication links. A mobile device can then use the distance between the mobile devices to determine their relative locations. By comparing the relative locations of the mobile devices with their location estimates, the mobile device can generate a refined location estimate.

摘要: Examples of techniques for handling fine time measurement ranging requests are described. In an example, an access point (AP) may receive a ranging request for initiating a Fine Timing Measurement (FTM) session. Responsive to determining that the client device is associated with the AP, it is determined that the ranging request is received after a threshold time from expiry of an FTM burst period of the client device. It is determined that the ranging request is within an FTM acceptance threshold of the AP. A number of consecutive unsuccessful FTM bursts between the AP and the client device is determined. In response to determining that the number of consecutive unsuccessful FTM bursts is less than an unsuccessful burst threshold of the AP, the FTM session may be initiated based on the ranging request.

The method includes associating the second locations with the tracking device based on the identifier for the tracking device.
