    Abstract: A method for advertising a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) peripheral device is provided. The method may include partially booting up a processing circuitry of the BLE peripheral device to enter an advertising mode, transmitting a first advertising packet, receiving a response to the first advertising packet from a BLE central device, wherein the response includes a predetermined time, determining whether a complete boot-up time needed to complete boot-up of the processing circuitry is greater than the predetermined time, and in response to determining that the complete boot-up time is not greater than the predetermined time, completing boot-up of the processing circuitry.

    Abstract: A wireless device system can include lighting devices, sensing devices, and other wireless devices in a wireless mesh local area network. The devices are configured for rapid provisioning with provisioned site network data by using a process in which each device stores data for a default provisioning network, and a provisioning device, for example a smart phone or other mobile device, is used to wirelessly connect with at least one of the devices in the default provisioning network, enabling distant wireless devices to be reached by relay of messages in the default provisioning network. Devices can be individually provided a new network address, for example, from the provisioned site network data, and all devices are provided remaining data from the provisioned site network data using the mesh network broadcast feature, thus provisioning and switching devices near simultaneously from the default provisioning network to the provisioned site network.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for an adaptive scheduler for collaboration networking are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, a first Information Handling System (IHS) may include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory comprises program instructions store thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the first IHS to: establish a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection with a second IHS; and adapt a scan rate and an advertisement rate of the first IHS based, at least in part, on context of the P2P connection. If the first IHS is configured as a host for the P2P connection, then it can adapt an advertisement rate of the first IHS, and stop any scans by the first IHS. If the first IHS is configured as a client for the P2P connection, it can adapt a scan rate of the first IHS, and stop any advertisements by the first IHS.

    Abstract: Provided are a client communication method, a client, and a communication system. The client is configured to bridge with single-frequency bridging communication device on a plurality of frequency bands. The communication method includes: acquiring device information of respective communication devices on each frequency band, in response to a single-time bridge trigger operation, and activating protocol interaction processes on the plurality of frequency bands, respectively; acquiring configuration information on a first frequency band, in response to determining that a protocol interaction process on the first frequency band is completed; determining configuration information on at least one other frequency band except for the first frequency band, based on the configuration information on the first frequency band and the device information of the respective communication devices on each frequency band; and using the configuration information on these frequency bands, for bridging with the single-frequency bridge communication device on these frequency bands.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a device-to-device (D2D) communication between user equipments (UEs) are provided. The method of a device-to-device (D2D) communication between user equipments (UEs), the method includes: receiving, at a transmission (Tx) UE, resource assignment information transmitted from an evolved NodeB (eNB), the resource assignment information being associated with a D2D discovery signal to be transmitted in a discovery period; determining, at the Tx UE, that a D2D discovery signal associated with a first discovery type and a D2D discovery signal associated with a second discovery type are to be transmitted in a first subframe included in the discovery period; and in the first subframe, transmitting the D2D discovery signal associated with the second discovery type and dropping the D2D discovery signal associated with the first discovery type.
