摘要: A heater having a frame rail and clips, attached to the rail, for securing insulators for supporting a heater coil. Each clip has a main body having a structural member for securing to the rail, and having a pair of flanges symmetrical about a central axis. Each flange has a cut-out for supporting an insulator, the cut-out having an open end, a back abutment edge and a pair of side abutment edges. A bendable tab is located at either side of the open end, each having a first and a second position. In the first position an insulator is insertable into the cut-out, and the insulator is secured by bending the tabs to their second position. Optionally the main body has a cross-section that accommodates the cross section of the rail and the rail is welded to the channel. Alternatively, a plurality of clinching flaps extend from the main body, the flaps shaped and dimensioned for bending around and clinching the rail.

摘要: A method, and structure formed thereof, for processing an exposed conductive connection between an thermal inkjet head device and a flexible tape circuit connectable to control signals for driving the inkjet device. According to the method of processing, the exposed conductive connection is electrophoretically plated with a polymer to protect it against corrosive damage by coupling the exposed conductive connection to a first voltage potential and immersing it into an electrophoretic polymer solution in contact with an electrode at a second voltage potential thereby establishing a current between the electrode and the exposed connection such that the exposed connection is coated with a thin film of polymer of uniform thickness.

摘要: A clip for connecting one or two insulators to a rail (preferably a T-bar member) of an electric heater including at least one bendable metal clinching member, where the clip is securable to the rail by bending the clinching member around the rail. Preferably, the clinching member is one or two T-shaped end members disposed on transverse ends of the clip. Opposite end sections of the ridge of the T-shaped end member constitute clinching flaps which, in use, are clinched around a stem of a T-bar of an electric heater.

摘要: A system and method for quickly heating a shrinkable casing around a relatively non-shrinkable object. The system may be referred to as a sleeve shrinking quick dip heat system. As one example, the present invention may be used to shrink a sleeve around a strand, such as fiber or copper. In the electrical and electronic fields, the present invention may be used to shrink sleeves or tubing around, for example, copper strands, wires, connectors, or components. A contact approach to heating the a loaded sleeve is used wherein a predetermined temperature profile is applied to prevent the trapping of air during shrinking. Ramp-up time is eliminated by use of a heater block that remains near or at heat shrinking temperatures, while selectively transferring heat to the sleeve according to the desired temperature profile.

摘要: A resistor heating element (1) has a resistive sheet layer (2) which contains a resistive material (preferably an electroconductive polymer) and is placed between at least two electroconductive layers (3, 4, 7) shaped as plane electrodes in order to form a sandwich element. Each layer (3, 4, 7) can be connected to a power supply line via contact studs. At least one recess (5) in the first electroconductive layer (3) is shifted relatively to a recess (6) in the second electroconductive layer (4) so that the two recesses (5, 6) (viewed in projection one on top of the other) are placed at a distance from each other. These recesses (5, 6) are located in the border region of the electroconductive layer (3, 4, 7) and at least one contact stud (34) can come into electrical contact and be mechanically connected to the other electroconductive layer (3) in the region of the recess (5) of a first electroconductive layer (4) via the resistive layer (2). Preferably, the contact stud (34) can also be connected to the resistive layer (2), especially through a crimp connection.

摘要: A heat transfer material comprised of a polymeric material and a nitride or oxide is provided and is thermally conductive, but electrically non-conductive. The polymeric material may be silicone rubber, and the nitride or oxide may be aluminum nitride, boron nitride, silicon nitride, aluminum oxide or beryllium oxide. The material is made flexible by adding plasticizer and remains flexible after an extended period of use. A dielectric jacket for an electrical heating cable is thermally conductive and remains flexible so that it can be reused. The heat transfer material can be used on heating devices such as steam tubes and panels, where the heat transfer material does not bond to or adhere to the heated surface, which allows the heating device to be reused.

摘要: A heater with an enclosing envelope to enhance safety, has a plate-shaped heating body made of a ceramic resistor, two conductive plates attached on the plate-shaped heating body, and at least one heat-dissipating device absorbing the heat generated by the heating body and radiating the heat. After the plate-shaped heating body is attached with the two conductive plates, an insulating case is used to house the plate-shaped heating body with the conductive plates. The resulting structure is inserted into a tubular enclosing envelope, and the tubular enclosing envelope is pressed to clamp the plate-shaped heating body. The heat-dissipating device is arranged outside the tubular enclosing envelope. By the enclosing envelope, sparks are prevented and the heater is safer.

摘要: A heater for the injection nozzle of a die casting machine includes a mounting block which is clamped to the nozzle and has a cavity for receiving an off-the-shelf electric cartridge heater. The mounting block includes a casing formed from a high strength material such as steel and a quantity of a second material having a high thermal conductivity such as copper encased in the casing. A hole sized to receive the injection nozzle is formed through the block and passes through the second material so that the second material forms a portion of the inner surface of the hole. The heater cavity extends into the block along an axis generally perpendicular to the hole such that the second material forms a portion of the inner surface of the hole. The quantity of second material connects the two holes and forms a heat conductive path between the heater receiving hole and the nozzle receiving hole.

摘要: An adhesive attachment assembly is provided for mounting an attachment member such as a threaded stud or the like onto a substrate, wherein the attachment assembly includes a heat source for rapidly curing a selected adhesive bonding agent. The adhesive attachment assembly includes a first attachment component defining a base surface for receiving the curable bonding agent thereon, and a second attachment component adapted for temporary connection to the substrate. Upon pressed mounting of the first attachment component with bonding agent thereon onto the substrate, the second attachment component is movable into temporary engagement with the substrate, and a spring member reacts between the first and second attachment components to apply a positive force urging the first attachment component toward the substrate for the duration of the bonding agent cure time. A heat source is carried by the first attachment component for activating and/or rapidly curing the bonding agent.
