Abstract: A device (340, 440, 540) is connected to an output terminal of a controller(330), having a single input terminal connected to a first power terminal of an external power source (305) which outputs an AC voltage between the first power terminal and a second power terminal. The device includes a bleeding circuit(342, 442, 542), and a switching arrangement (344/346, 444/446, 544/546) to detect whether the controller powers a load (320 or disables the load. When the controller is in an OFF state, the switching arrangement connects the bleeding circuit between the output terminal of the controller and the second power terminal to provide a current path between the output terminal of the controller and the second power terminal. When the controller is in an ON state, the switching arrangement disconnects the bleeding circuit between the output terminal of the controller and the second power terminal.

Abstract: A lighting device comprising a light source being configured to generate source light of a white light emission spectrum having a color correlated temperature (CCT) in a range of 2500-20000K and comprising a control unit being configured to control a lighting element for tuning of the source light with respect to a ratio between a first emission peak in a wavelength range of 460-490 nm and a second emission peak in a wavelength range of 430-460 nm. Thus a lighting device with a tunable/adjustable spectrum is provided that can switch between a first operation state of energy efficiency lighting with a blue peak in the second wavelength range of 430-460 nm, but with blue hazard risk, and a second operation state of less efficient but safe, healthy lighting with a biological stimulant having a blue peak in the first wavelength range of 460-490 nm.

Abstract: A method and illumination device are provided for interference-resistant compensation in light emitting diode (LED) illumination devices. In one embodiment, the method includes bringing to a level insufficient to produce illumination the respective drive current of all except one of multiple emission LED elements for the duration of a first measurement interval and a later-occurring second measurement interval. The first and second measurement intervals are within respective first and second series of measurement intervals interspersed with periods of illumination, and the first and second series of measurement intervals are separated by respective first and second offsets from a timing reference. An embodiment of an illumination device includes multiple emission LED elements, one or more photodetectors, and a lamp control circuit, where the lamp control circuit is adapted to perform steps of the method.

Abstract: An LED tube lamp comprises a lamp tube, a diffusive layer covered on a surface of the lamp tube, two end caps, a light strip, LED light sources on the light strip, and a power supply. Each of the two end caps is coupled to a respective end of the lamp tube. The light strip is attached to an inner circumferential surface of the lamp tube. The power supply module comprises a printed circuit board electrically connected to the light strip, a rectifying circuit and a filtering circuit coupled to the rectifying circuit. An end of the light strip is detached from the inner circumferential surface of the lamp tube and electrically connected to the printed circuit board.

Abstract: A controllable lighting device may utilize a controllable impedance circuit to conduct a load current through an LED light source. The controllable impedance circuit may be coupled in series with a first switching device, which may be rendered conductive and non-conductive via a pulse-width modulated signal to adjust an average magnitude of the load current. The controllable lighting device may further comprise a control loop circuit that includes a second switching device. The second switching device may be rendered conductive and non-conductive in coordination with the first switching device to control when a feedback signal is provided to the control loop circuit and used to control the LED light source. The control loop circuit may be characterized by a time constant that is significantly greater than an operating period of the load current.

Abstract: A constant power backup power supply for LED lighting fixtures is disclosed. The power supply includes a storage battery that is charged while an AC power source is in an ON condition. When AC power transitions to an OFF condition, a capacitor bank charged by the battery supplies current to the primary side of a flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode. The secondary side of the flyback converter supplies constant output power to the LED lighting fixture for an arbitrary output voltage within a predetermined range.

The control module generates a drive PWM signal using the first PWM signal, the second PWM signal and the switch signal. The power source provides power. The constant current driving module generates a constant-current drive voltage using the provided power and the drive PWM signal. The output module generates a drive current that responds to the constant-current drive voltage. And the output module drives an external LED device using the drive current.
