    Abstract: An aerosol provision devices are described. One such device comprises a receptacle configured to receive aerosol generating material, wherein the receptacle comprises a susceptor which is heatable by penetration with a varying magnetic field. The device further comprises an insulating member extending around the susceptor, wherein the insulating member is positioned away from the receptacle to provide an air gap around the susceptor. The device further comprises an inductor coil extending around the insulating member such that the insulating member is positioned between the inductor coil and the susceptor, wherein the inductor coil is configured to generate the varying magnetic field.
    Another such aerosol provision device comprises: a susceptor configured to receive aerosol generating material, wherein the susceptor is heatable by penetration with a varying magnetic field; an insulating member extending around the susceptor, wherein the insulating member is positioned away from the susceptor; an inductor coil extending around the insulating member such that the insulating member is positioned between the inductor coil and the susceptor, wherein the inductor coil is configured to generate the varying magnetic field; and an outer cover forming at least a portion of an outer surface of the aerosol provision device, wherein an inner surface of the outer cover is positioned away from an outer surface of the susceptor by a distance of between about 4 mm and about 10 mm.

    Abstract: The heater assembly includes a case having a heating element therein, a channel extending through the case and having a size and shape for selectively receiving therethrough a first end of an elastomeric fixture outstretched through a substrate to a first length having a first width, and a heat transfer surface positioned relative to the heating element for receiving generated heat therefrom. The heat transfer surface is generally positionable relative to the substrate to cooperate with an adhesively bondable attachment coupled to a second end of the elastomeric fixture opposite the first end and including an uncured bonding agent disposed thereon. The heater assembly and attachment simultaneously sandwich the substrate in compression engagement in between when the elastomeric fixture extends through the substrate into the central channel and relaxes to a second relatively shorter length having a second relatively larger width.

A heater for a cigarette-type electronic cigarette device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is configured to a circumference of a cigarette inserted thereinto by a predetermined length and includes a heating member that is disposed to surround a circumference of the cigarette when the cigarette is inserted and is heated through an eddy current induced by electromagnetic induction to heat the cigarette, a heat insulation member that is disposed to surround a circumference of the heating member and blocks the heat generated by the heating member from moving to the outside, and a coil member that is wound multiple times around a circumference of the heat insulation member and that generates a magnetic field that causes electromagnetic induction to the heating member when power is applied.
