摘要: Described herein are methods for determining the temperature and nutrient content of items heated in a microwave oven. An example method of determining the temperature of the item includes receiving item information; receiving a trained water model; measuring, by an antenna, an emission value from the exterior of the microwave; determining, the power flow into the item based on the trained water model, the item information, and the emission value; and estimating, by the trained water model, a temperature change of the item. An example method of determining the nutrient content includes receiving item information; receiving a trained water model; measuring, by an antenna, an emission value from the exterior of the microwave; determining an emission spectrum from the emission value; and determining, using the emission spectrum, the item information, and the trained water model, a nutrient profile of the item.

摘要: In a method for treating food in a food handling device with a parameter configuration a measured value distribution of a surface property of the food is determined after expiration of the period of time by means of a sensor. A pattern of change is calculated from a comparison of the p-th measured value distribution with a measured value distribution determined previously. An assessment value Bq which represents a difference between a deviation of a target distribution from the measured value distribution and a deviation of the target distribution from a prediction pattern is calculated for all patterns of change stored hitherto. The prediction pattern is formed by superimposing the measured value distribution with the respective pattern of change, and the parameter configuration is set for which the assessment value Bq meets at least one predetermined criterion.

摘要: Provided is a system and method for heating an item in a microwave oven. The method includes capturing, with at least one electromagnetic field sensor, at least one electromagnetic field measurement of a microwave chamber, each electromagnetic field measurement of the at least one electromagnetic field measurement corresponding to a region in the microwave chamber, generating an electromagnetic field map of the microwave chamber based on the at least one electromagnetic field measurement, capturing, with at least one sensor, a plurality of thermal measurements of the item being heated in the microwave chamber, each thermal measurement of the plurality of thermal measurements corresponding to a region on the item, and controlling at least one of a position of the item and the electromagnetic field while the item is being heated in the microwave chamber based on the electromagnetic field map and the plurality of thermal measurements.

摘要: A microwave oven includes a controller in communication with an infrared sensor and a human-machine interface, the controller configured: (i) to determine a temperature at each position of a cavity as a function of the output of each pixel of the infrared sensor; (ii) to recognize a rise and fall in the temperature at one or more positions within the cavity; (iii) to estimate the position or positions within the cavity that a food item occupies as a function of the one or more positions within the cavity where the controller recognized the rise and fall in temperature occurred; and (iv) to determine whether the position or positions that the food item is estimated to occupy is adequate for the controller to determine accurately a temperature of the food item during an automatic heating operation that utilizes the infrared sensor.

摘要: The present disclosure describes systems and methods that employ a plurality of microwave applicator cells as a combined unit to continuously travel along an asphalt surface to treat the existing asphalt with microwave energy. The microwave treatment reanimates the existing (and likely damaged) asphalt to a workable state that is almost identical in nature to newly laid asphalt. The microwave system is configurable to span the width of a standard road lane, wherein the continuously traveling system efficiently repairs damaged roads with minimal down time.
