    摘要： A ventilation apparatus for an article of footwear has a hollow air pump chamber, one or more one-way air valves positioned through the top wall of the air pump chamber, and an air intake channel with a one-way valve coupled through an opening into the air pump chamber. Action of stepping down on the air pump chamber deforms the walls and increases pressure in the air pump chamber, and forces air out of the air pump chamber through the one or more one-way air valves positioned through the top wall of the air pump chamber, and action of lifting weight off the air pump chamber causes the deformed walls to return toward original form, decreasing pressure in the air pump chamber and drawing air in through the air intake channel.

    摘要： Provided is a ventilated shoe. The shoe includes an upper. An outsole has an upper edge end provided on an upper sole part, an air chamber provided inside the upper edge end, and an ascending and descending edge surface provided on an outer edge of a lower sole part in such a way as to be inclined outwards and upwards from a bottom surface, the outer edge of the lower sole part being provided under the upper edge end to be opposite thereto. An insole is secured to the upper edge end to cover a top of the air chamber, with a plurality of ventilation holes being formed in a front portion thereof. A backflow prevention valve prevents outside air supplied to the air chamber from flowing backwards. An air inlet pipe supplies the outside air to the backflow prevention valve.

The shoe may further include one or more springs located in cavities in the gas filled nest for biasing the first plate and the second plate apart from each other. Pods may be located within the openings in the center of the springs, and the pods may be filled with one or more gasses. The pods may protrude from a bottom or a top surface of the nest. Spring sandwiches including one or more springs positioned between plates may be constructed and placed in various portions of a shoe. The shoe may also include piping with lights.
