    摘要: A method of lasting an upper for an article of footwear can include inserting a last in a collapsed state into an upper. The last can include at least two parts movable relative to each other so as to allow the last to be collapsed along a substantially longitudinal direction from an extended state to the collapsed state. The last can also include at least one fastener configured for attaching string and configured to hold string in the collapsed state and in the extended state of the last. The method can further include attaching the upper to the fastener using at least one string and extending the last. For example, the act of extending the last may increase tension in the string in a manner that draws the upper about the last.

    摘要: An apparatus for effecting the positioning of cleats on shoes includes a baseplate to apply the arch of the foot, a gauge provided with a stop that can slide freely on the baseplate to be in contact with the calcaneum of the foot, and a wall for wedging the front part of the foot at the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. The stop is fixed on a plate that slides parallel to the baseplate and a support for a shoe corresponding to the foot is fixed to the sliding plate. The support includes a stop to be placed in contact with the shoe counter. A marker is secured to the apparatus base and designed to indicate, on the shoe sole, the location for placing the cleat. The apparatus enables the distance recorded between the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and calcaneum to be transferred onto the shoe.

    摘要: A heel shoe tip removal and replacement system with an outer housing, and electrical or mechanical removal mechanism for re-applying a tip to the heel of a shoe. While the heel is inserted into the removal/replacement apparatus, the plastic tip is engaged and removed by the heel tip removal system. Once the tip is removed, a new tip of like size is inserted into the removal/replacement apparatus. The apparatus then applies enough force to the new tip to securely attach the new tip to the shoe heel.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a multi-density shoe sole is described, the method incorporates repeated injections of sole material onto a shoe upper mounted on a last and placed in a mould. The mould has an injection chamber, moveable side frames, a vertically moveable bottom piston and a shoe sole shaping insert which is placed in the mould prior to a first injection and removed from the mould after said first injection and prior to a second injection. The entire body of the shoe sole shaping insert is placed inside the injection chamber during the first injection. The shoe sole shaping insert acts as a dummy during the first injection, and leaves after its removal a cavity which in a later injection step is filled with another sole material, either another colour or another density. Also disclosed is an insert used in a mould for injection moulding of shoe soles.

    摘要: A boot tree has three shaped pieces: a foot piece, a front leg piece, and a back leg piece. The three pieces are mechanically connected together. The mechanical connections do not contain any hinge connecting one piece to another. The mechanical connection of the foot piece to the front leg piece contains at least one articulated compressible linking element allowing relative pivoting, backwards and forwards, of the two pieces. The leg piece has no obstacle to obstruct the pivoting of the linking element between the positions of the foot when resting and when pointed. The mechanical connection of the front leg piece to the back leg piece also contains at least one articulated compressible linking element, allowing the back leg piece to pivot upwards relative to the front leg piece. The leg pieces have no obstacles which could obstruct the pivoting of the linking element between the positions with the heel in the natural position and with the heel in the raised position.
