摘要： A reconfigurable lighted post (e.g., mailbox), including a post, and first and second dual channel members attached to the post. The dual channel members include dual channels, where the first channel of each houses a strip of LEDs, and the second channel defines a channel into which an insert to be back or trans-illuminated can be inserted. Both dual channel members are attached to the post so that the first channels housing the strips of LEDs are positioned towards the post, while the second channels are positioned away from the post. The insert to be illuminated is receivable between the second channels (i.e., that face one another). The insert may include a house address number, or other characters cut-out or otherwise formed into the insert, so that light from the LED strips back or trans-illuminates the insert when received between the facing second channels. Deck rail lighting is also disclosed.

The system may further include a premises device including a premises communication interface configured to receive the sensor information from the mailbox device and processing circuitry configured to determine whether a mailbox event has occurred and trigger at least one alert if a mailbox event occurred. The system may further provide notification of the event to an authorized entity via mobile device, voice assistant, etc. An access control unit may be used to limit access to the mailbox to authorized individuals.

摘要： A receiving and pick-up arrangement for postal items with a foldable housing. When the arrangement is not in use, the housing can be folded up to save space. For this purpose, the side walls are foldable, so that the side walls are arranged or stowed between the top wall and the bottom wall in the folded up state. In the folded up state, the arrangement does not have a receiving chamber for receiving postal items. In operation, the housing is unfolded. In the unfolded state of the housing, the postal item can be placed into the receiving chamber then formed between the side walls via the first opening or the second opening and removed again at a later stage. Also, a method for receiving and a method for picking up a postal item with such an arrangement.

摘要： An apparatus for receiving and preventing unauthorized access to deliveries has an enclosure, a moveable roof on the enclosure, a rotatable basket within the enclosure, and a connecting member coupling motion of the roof and the basket. The basket is rotatable between an upright and an upside-down position. The roof is moveable between an open position in which the basket is accessible and a closed position in which the basket access is blocked. When the roof is moved to the open position, the connecting member rotates the basket to the upright position thereby allowing a user to place the article into the basket. Moving the roof to the closed position rotates the basket to the upside-down position thereby causing the article to drop out of the basket towards the bottom of the enclosure. The enclosure may open into a chute or building for delivering the parcels to a remote location.

The device includes a mailbox housing having an open front end and a front door pivotally affixed thereto, wherein the front door selectively closes the front end.
