摘要： Sanitary barrier systems and methods for preventing transmission of biological substances and protecting human health are provided. A retractable barrier system may include a first supporting member and a barrier film. The first supporting member may comprise a first attachment element configured to position the barrier system vertically in use. The barrier film may have a fixed edge and a free edge, wherein the fixed edge is connected to the first supporting member. The barrier film is extendible to a desired length in a use configuration and retractable back on the first supporting member in a storage configuration. The barrier system may include a retracting mechanism such as a crank or a spring-loaded roller. The barrier film may comprise a sanitary portion. The barrier system may be combined with stanchions or queue barriers to protect individuals waiting in lines. The barrier system may also be used to provide barrier inside a multi-person vehicle.

The book has page (s) that open for the viewing, securing, protecting and safe transportation of decorative pins in which the page surface is comprised of a puncturable and resilient material for the piercing through and repositioning of the post (s) portion of a decorative pin(s) and defining a mounting surface for decorative pins. Between the page (s) there is a protective page to prevent decorative pins from contact and potential damage. A translucent front with a zipper allows for the display and viewing of decorative pins. A zipper closure allows for the secure closure to protect pins from falling out. The book has a removable strap for shoulder or cross-body portage or to hang for display. The back of the book has a pouch enclosure for the storage of pin backs.

The retrofitted door brake may, in various embodiments, comprise a hub comprising a cylindrical central axle, a plurality of projections extending radially away from an outer circumference of the central axle, and/or a cam comprising a plurality of pins that hold the projections away from a channel wall of a brake housing. The pins may be configured to break away from the cam to release the projections into contact with the channel wall, and the pins may be fitted with a cover, such that the pins are capable of withstanding abrasion and wear. The cover may comprise a cylinder having an axially running aperture, and/or a beveled edge that shaves a layer of the outer surface from one of the plurality of pins as it is fitted over the pin.

Said mounting part comprises projecting locking elements for cooperation with corresponding locking members of the mounting assembly and for a rotation relative thereto between a first rotational position in which the mounting part can be inserted in or removed from the mounting assembly, and a second rotational position in which the locking elements and locking members prevent any translational movement of the rollable screen relative to the stationary mounting assembly.

摘要： A curtain assembly includes a curtain, or panel of flexible material, such as fabric, forming a generally smooth surface extending between a first anchor assembly and a second anchor assembly. Slits through the fabric are sized and arranged to be stretched opened to form respective openings in response to relatively small amounts of stretching of the panel between the two anchor assemblies with a tension force. The openings may be re-closed by allowing the panel to return to a relaxed state. The opening and closing action can be repeated according to new methods to controllably vary the amount of light that the curtain assembly allows through the panel. The curtain assembly may be used as part of various larger assemblies and in various environments.

The barrel member is rotatable on a stationary counterbalance shaft and a push down shaft. The release device further includes a push down spring coupled to the push down shaft for storing potential energy in order to exert a closing force on the barrier when the release device is positioned from an engaged position to a released position. The release device includes a reset mechanism interfaced with the push down spring for transmitting a lifting torque to the push down spring in response to moving the barrier from a first position to a second position to store energy within the push down spring.

摘要： According to one aspect, there is provided a curtain assembly including a curtain and a plurality of rails. The curtain can be used to cover a variety of openings. The plurality of rails can be attached to and disposed horizontally on the curtain to provide rigidity to the curtain when in an open position (covering the opening). The plurality of rails can be made of two main sections, a first and a second coupled to opposite sides of the curtain. The second section can be configured to provide the lateral stability to the curtain, permitting the first section to be made of almost any material. Typically both sections are metal. The first section can also include folded over portions which wrap around the edges of the curtain. The folded over portions provide for attachment and also insure no sharp edges exist on the exterior sides of the curtain. The plurality of rails can be bonded to the curtain using an adhesive. The curtain can include prepared bonding surface to receive the rails. Both can be spaced to minimize overlap between the plurality of rails when the curtain is in a recessed position (wound around a roller).
