摘要: An occlusion device for occluding a left atrial appendage extending from a lateral wall of a left atrium of a heart may include a first clamping portion and a second clamping portion movably connected to one another and configured for positioning along opposite sides of the left atrial appendage. The first clamping portion and the second clamping portion each may include an inner side configured to face toward the left atrial appendage when the device is in a deployed configuration, an outer side disposed opposite the inner side and configured to face away from the left atrial appendage, a concave side configured to face away from the lateral wall when the device is in the deployed configuration, and a convex side disposed opposite the concave side and configured to face toward the lateral wall.

摘要: A clip for gripping tissue can having a first arm with a first claw at a distal end of the first arm, and second arm, with a second claw at a distal end of the second arm, in which the first arm and second arm are configured to move in a direction toward each other to close the clip. The clips include one or more anchors on the arms of the clip which protrude in a direction other than the direction that the first arm and second arm are configured to move toward each other to close the clip. Such anchors can more readily attach to tissue of a patient upon contact than clips without an anchor.

摘要: A clip applier may be configured to apply a surgical clip to tissue. The clip applier may include a first jaw member, a second jaw member, and a stabilizing member, each configured to engage the surgical clip. The stabilizing member may be configured to move longitudinally with respect to the clip applier from a first position at least partially between the first and second jaw members to a second position at least partially between the first and second jaw members. The longitudinal movement of the stabilizing member may be constrained to longitudinal movement between the first and second positions. The stabilizing member may include first and second sidewalls on a distal portion, where the first and second sidewalls are configured to stabilize the surgical clip in a lateral direction. The clip applier may include a hinge pin received in a longitudinal channel of the stabilizing member.

The inner surface of the first leg member may be concave and the inner surface of the second leg member may be convex. The surgical clip may include a first locking member positioned on a distal end portion of the first leg member, and a second locking member positioned on a distal end portion of the second leg member. The surgical clip may also include a third locking member position between a proximal end portion and the distal end portion of the first leg member, and a fourth locking member positioned between a proximal end portion and the distal end portion of the second leg member. The first and second locking members, and the third and fourth locking members may be configured to interact to secure the surgical clip in a closed configuration.

摘要: Devices and systems have a sensor probe configured to measure tissue oxygen saturation in the intestine or mesentery. The devices and systems can determine the oxygenation state of the entire thickness of the intestine or mesentery. Embodiments of the invention also include methods for inducing a temporary ischemic period in an intestine or mesentery tissue and analyzing changes in oxygen saturation of the tissue during the temporary ischemic period or during a recovery phase. The devices, systems, and methods can be applied in diagnosing intestinal ischemia in a patient, as well as in monitoring tissue oxygen saturation of the intestine or mesentery during or after a surgical procedure.

The first medical device includes a handle, a sheath extending from the handle and defining a lumen, a helical coil, and a loop. The helical coil is axially and rotatably movable relative to the sheath. A first portion of the loop is coupled to the sheath and a second portion of the loop extends radially away from the sheath. The second medical device is configured to be disposed within the working channel of the insertion device. The second medical device is configured to receive the second portion of the loop. The second medical device is configured to couple the second portion of the loop to a portion of a treatment site.
