摘要: In an osteosynthesis device with a plate and a screw for fixing the plate on a bone, the head of the screw includes a thread for its locking with the internal thread in its receiving hole. The internal surface of the plate hole includes a first frustoconical section that extends at an angle 30-60° with respect to the hole central axis, and a second frustoconical section that extends between the first frustoconical section and the plate lower face, at an angle 8-12° with respect to the hole central axis. The internal surface of the hole also includes at least three upper undercuts, and at least three lower undercuts, which upper and lower undercuts allow a degree of freedom in angulation of the screw, and also preserve a portion of hole internal thread on all the generatrices of the hole internal surface located in planes parallel to the central axis.

摘要: In accordance to one aspect of the present disclosure, a driver for a bone screw is provided that includes an inner shaft and a distal drive head of the inner shaft. The drive head is configured to fit in a drive recess of a bone screw to form a mating connection therewith. The driver further includes at least one outer, resilient locking member shiftable along the inner shaft from a proximal, unlocked position to a distal, locked position. The resilient locking member has a locking portion that contacts and is urged outwardly by a proximal ramp surface of the drive head as the locking member shifts distally from the unlocked position to the locked position to secure the bone screw onto the drive head.

摘要: The invention relates to a cutting block for use in preparing a bone during orthopaedic surgery. The cutting block comprises a bone attachment face, and a front face opposing the bone attachment face. The cutting block further comprises at least a first group of bone pin holes, each hole being configured for removable receipt of a bone pin. The first group of pin holes includes at least two bone pin holes that extend between the bone attachment face and the front face. The at least two bone pin holes extend parallel to each other in an anterior-posterior direction. The at least two bone pin holes are offset from each other in at least one of a superior-inferior direction or a medial-lateral direction. The at least two bone pin holes are interconnected.
