    摘要: An aspect of some embodiments of the present invention relates to solutions for the removal of dental implant screws with stripped heads and/or dental implant screws that are difficult to remove. Optionally, the method for removing a dental implant screw comprises a method for removing the head from the shaft of a dental implant screw, for example by drilling. Once the head is removed, the abutment is optionally removed, thereby exposing the threaded screw shaft within the fixture of the implant and/or the mount for aligning the abutment. Optionally, removal of the abutment allows use the attachment to guide removal of a screw shaft.

    摘要: A new and improved drill bit for preparing a dental implant site within a jawbone for the implantation of a dental implant, as a result of being rotatably driven by a motor drive, comprises a body portion which includes an upper shank portion to be inserted into the motor drive, and a lower drilling portion for forming a hole or bore with a jawbone within which a dental implant is to be implanted. The lower drilling portion includes a pointed conical tip portion having an apex for determining the location of the implantation site, and the outer diametrical extent of the lower drilling portion progressively increases in diameter as considered in the direction from the apex to the upper shank portion so as to automatically enlarge the hole or bore formed within the jawbone such that the complete drilling process can be completed within a single drilling operation as opposed to conventional operations which require the use of a plurality of drill bits of increasingly larger diametrical extents.

    摘要: A depth stop for a drilling tool to form a hole of predetermined depth. The depth stop includes an interface portion that couples directly to the shank of the osteotome via interlocking spur and groove features. The interface has a cap flange and a tapered skirt. The underside of the cap flange establishes a reference surface for a tubular key that slides onto the tapered skirt and is held there by friction. The skirt is formed with a relief directly under the cap flange to facilitate haptic confirmation of proper connection. Elongated irrigation windows in the key expose a domed transition on the osteotome, thereby facilitating irrigation. The depth stop can be used, optionally, with an alignment jig designed with a precision guide bushing. The guide bushing is semi-cylindrical and terminates with an internal abutment step against which the lower end of the key engages at full depth.

    摘要: Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth.
