摘要: An expandable sheath is disclosed herein, which has a first polymeric layer and a braided layer positioned radially outward of the first polymeric layer. The braided layer includes a plurality of filaments braided together. The expandable sheaths further include a resilient elastic layer positioned radially outward of the braided layer. The elastic layer is configured to apply radial force to the braided layer and the first polymeric layer. The expandable sheath further includes a second polymeric layer positioned radially outward of the elastic layer and bonded to the first polymeric layer such that the braided layer and the elastic layer are encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. Methods of making and using the devices disclosed herein are also disclosed, as are crimping devices that may be used in methods of making the devices disclosed herein.

摘要: Disclosed herein are expandable introducer sheaths and methods of making and using the same. The sheaths minimize trauma to a patient's vasculature by allowing for temporary expansion of a portion of the sheath to accommodate passage of a delivery system for a cardiovascular device, then return to a non-expanded state after the passage of the device. The sheath includes an elongated annular member having longitudinally extending channels that facilitate the sheath's temporary expansion. The channels are positioned in such a way that, upon expansion, they enable the movement of protruding contact surfaces toward the inner and outer surfaces of the annular member, reducing friction between the surface and the passing device. Some embodiments of the expandable sheath include an elastic outer layer that pushes the protruding contact surfaces back towards their original positions after the passage of the device.

摘要: Systems and method for delivering and deploying an expandable stent to treat Intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) involving large and medium-sized blood vessels. The disclosed systems include a catheter, a shaft comprising a distal end disposed within the catheter, an expandable stent comprising a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the shaft is coupled to the expandable stent and the shaft is disposed within the expandable stent, and a plurality of struts, wherein a first end of each strut is coupled to the shaft and a second end of each strut is coupled to the expandable stent. Longitudinal movement of the shaft relative to the expandable stent extends the plurality of struts radially outward and expands the expandable stent, similar to umbrella. The plurality of struts provides radial force to the expandable stent in an expanded configuration to the vessel walls of the patient.

摘要: A percutaneous transluminal angioplasty device includes a catheter defining one or more lumens. A filter is coupled to the catheter adjacent a distal end of the catheter, and the filter is movable between an unexpanded and expanded configuration via a filter activation wire that extends through a lumen. An expandable balloon is coupled to the catheter proximally of the filter, and a stent is disposed over at least a portion of the balloon. To deploy the stent to a target site, the filter is first moved into its expanded position via the filter activation wire. Then, the stent is expanded, and the balloon is inflated to expand the stent further radially. The balloon is then deflated, the filter is contracted, and the catheter, balloon, and filter are removed from the body.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a stent delivery system, and can be configured to include a connector portion connected to an external current source, an electrocautery tip connected to the connector portion by a conductive line, and a delivery portion having one side connected to the electrocautery tip, having the other side connected to the connector portion, and having the conductive line for connecting the electrocautery tip and the connector portion positioned therein, and a stent space portion in which a stent is positioned is formed adjacent to the electrocautery tip inside the delivery portion, and the delivery portion gradually moves and supplies the stent into the human body tissue, and according to the present disclosure, it is possible to integrate the conductive line and the tube, thereby improving the rigidity of the tube, and varying the size of the electrocautery tip.
