摘要: A portable negative air pressure apparatus for isolating a treatment subject to permit a selected treatment procedure to be performed by a treatment operator. The apparatus comprises an air source connected to a closed chamber for sealable disposition over the head, neck and upper thorax of the treatment subject with the chamber having air ports, in and out. The chamber has rigid clear sides and a plurality of sealed ports, with the ports including sealed armholes for access, and with sealed gloves connected to the sealed armholes. The chamber also has at least one instrument hatch to permit introduction into the chamber of instruments for carrying-out the selected treatment procedure.

A vacuum system is arranged in the housing and further has drain vacuum tracks connected to a plurality of vacuums divided from one another with a divider proximate a heater cable. A vertical ventilation passthrough arranged proximate the drain vacuum tracks. The pressurized hot air system is operatively coupled to a heat control speed switch.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are related to a patient protection apparatus with a first side, a second side, a back, a top and a front visor. The first side and second side each include at least one of a side arm aperture, an instrument aperture and an air filter interface. The back includes a plurality of back arm apertures and at least one back instrument aperture. The top has a wider length at the front of the apparatus and a shorter length at the back allowing the first side and second side to taper at an angle from the front to the back. Some embodiments include wheels for easy transportation and removable front enclosures. Other embodiments include smaller dimensions for ease of transport and more versatile application.

摘要: A controlled access aerosolized particle enclosure for isolation of airborne contaminants includes a frame defining a patient isolation region over a patient bed. A linkage attaches the framed enclosure to a patient treatment vehicle, and a flexible elasticized barrier is suspended by the frame for enclosing the patient isolation region. The barrier is formed from deformable planer sheets of a flexible transparent material and extending adjacent to the patient treatment surface forming a draped edge around the bed or transport. A low pressure source is in fluidic engagement with the enclosure for reducing a pressure within the enclosure below that of ambient surroundings, such that the low pressure source provides a pressure for drawing the elasticized barrier against the patient treatment surface for restricting airborne particle passage from the enclosure to the ambient surroundings, but limits the negative pressure to avoid substantial deformation or collapse of the enclosure.

摘要: Disclosed are enclosures for establishing a sterile environment over a patient for a medical procedure, as well as systems and methods thereof. An enclosure can include an expandable portion of a barrier separating a sterile environment inside of the enclosure from a non-sterile environment outside of the enclosure and a patient-interfacing portion of the barrier. The enclosure can also include a support system coupled to the patient-interfacing portion of the barrier in some embodiments. The patient-interfacing portion of the barrier can include one or more fenestrations for placement directly over one or more areas of interest of the patient, as well as for access to the areas of interest from within the sterile environment. When present, the support system can flank the fenestration. The support system is configured to support the enclosure on a surface when placed over an appendage of the patient or a main body of the patient.

摘要: Disclosed herein are modules for performing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (“HBOT”) on a patient submerged in pressurized water where substantially no gas is present in the module. The modules generally have an entry, a fluid inlet for introducing water into the module, first and second fluid outlets positioned substantially at a base and a top of the module respectively, and a utilities inlet and outlet in part for transferring breathing air to and from the patient. The module permits HBOT treatment on a patient submerged in water with no air in the module, thus reducing the risk of fire or explosion. Methods and systems are also contemplated. Disclosed herein are methods of filling a module with water until there is substantially no gas in the module, and providing the patient in the module with treatment air during HBOT treatment.
