摘要： A cosmetic composition for treating acne includes at least one acne treatment active, for example, salicylic acid or a derivative thereof, which may present in an amount that is greater than 1%, by weight, based on the weight of the sulfate-free cleansing composition, and an aqueous carrier that includes at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of sarcosinates, betaines, and combinations thereof, at least one solubilizer comprising a polyethylene glycol compound, and water. When the sulfate-free cleansing composition is applied to a keratinous tissue it demonstrates deposition and retention of the beta hydroxy acid on the keratinous tissue after rinsing with water.

摘要： Described herein is composition comprising salicylic acid for use as a treatment article for certain conditions and method of making such an article. The composition comprising: salicylic acid; a silicone containing film-forming polymer; a silicate tackifying resin; and an additive, wherein the additive comprises (i) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 5-9, (ii) a aminosilicone having an amine value greater than 60, (iii) a cationic silicone polyquaternium, or (iv) combinations thereof. Such compositions can be used for skin treatment applications.

摘要： Decreasing skin penetration lag times will improve the bioavailability of a topically administered roflumilast composition. A shorter skin penetration lag time provides quicker onset of disease relief and more consistent bioavailability as there is less transference to clothing or other people. The skin penetration lag time for roflumilast can be reduced by formulating a roflumilast composition to have a pH between 4.0-6.5 and/or combining roflumilast with an emulsifier blend comprising cetearyl alcohol, dicetyl phosphate and ceteth-10 phosphate.

摘要： The present invention provides a sustained release composition having hyperbranched polymers that are polyesters that are biobased and biodegradable, and that have at least one active ingredient, which composition delivers the active ingredient over time. These active ingredients can be a wide variety of compounds so long as they can covalently bind to the polymer or be encapsulated in the polymer in a manner that is released at the point of delivery, usually by acid hydrolysis or enzymatic bond scission.

摘要： A composition for the treatment of acne includes hydrolyzed Psoralea corylifolia, containing a component bakuchiol, is solubilized in a water-based solution. The composition is for topical application to the skin. In various implementations, the composition is a water-based acne gel or a water-based cleanser. In a specific implementation, a composition includes Bakutrol(TM), which includes bakuchiol, and bisabolol. The composition can include a polysorbate surfactant. In implementations, these ingredients are combined with other active ingredients, including for example, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, retinol, tazarotene, or an antibiotic, or a combination of these. A process of preparation of the composition allows for the stabilization of Bakutrol in solution.
