摘要: An extension set may include a tube, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and an outer surface. The extension set may include a distal connector coupled to the distal end of the tube and/or a proximal connector coupled to the proximal end of the tube. The extension set may include a patency instrument disposed within the tube. The extension set may include a translation handle coupled to the outer surface of the tube. The translation handle may be configured to move along the outer surface of the tube between a proximal position and a distal position to translate the distal end of the patency instrument between a retracted position and an advanced position. In response to the distal end of the patency instrument being in the advanced position, the distal end of the patency instrument may extend beyond the distal end of the tube.

摘要: A co-registration system includes a processor circuit that co-registers intravascular data and user annotations to locations along a guidewire shown in an x-ray image. The processor circuit receives, from an x-ray imaging device, x-ray images of a blood vessel while anintravascular catheter moves through the blood vessel along a guidewire. The processor circuit receives, from the catheter, intravascular data representative of the blood vessel while the catheter moves through the blood vessel. The processor circuit co-registers the intravascular data to locations along the guidewire shown in the x-ray image received from the x-ray imaging device. The processor circuit also generates and co-registers annotations such as bookmarks to the guidewire.

摘要: Provided herein are methods for inserting a bone fastener into a bone and securing an implant using a drilling guidewire. The method may include positioning a first bone plate having a first hole on a first side of a bone and drilling a channel through the bone from the first side of the bone to a second side of the bone using a drilling guidewire. The drilling guidewire may include a first portion having a drill unit and a second portion, the second portion extending from the second end of the first portion. Additionally, the diameter of the first portion may be greater than a diameter of the second portion. The method may further include sliding a bone fastener over the second portion of the drilling guidewire and driving the bone fastener through the first hole of the first bone plate and the channel in the bone.

摘要: In the present disclosure, embodiments of flaring tip microcatheters, methods of deploying flaring tip microcatheters, and embolization treatment methods are disclosed. The flaring tip microcatheter may include a hollow shaft having a shaft lumen defined therein, a core disposed within the shaft lumen, and a tip comprising at least two petals affixed to a distal end of the core, the at least two petals comprising at least two wires wherein the core is hollow and defines a core lumen. The at least two wires may be configured to pull the at least two petals to form a flared configuration of the tip. The flared configuration of the tip may allow for laminar flow of a therapeutic agent distally from the tip.

The system includes an access sheath configured to be inserted over the introducer. The access sheath includes a front end, a rear end opposite to the front end, and a lumen that extends from the front end to the rear end. The proximal tapered tip of the introducer is configured to be inserted into the front end and through the lumen of access sheath, such that a movable interference fit is attained between the access sheath and the introducer.

摘要: A suction catheter system is described with a suction extension interfaced with a guide catheter to form a continuous suction lumen extending through a portion of the guide catheter and through the suction extension. The suction extension can be positioned by tracking the suction nozzle through a vessel while moving a proximal portion of the suction extension within the lumen of the guide catheter. The suction extension can comprise a connecting section with a non-circular cross section for interfacing with the inner lumen of an engagement section of the guide catheter. The tubular body of the guide catheter can have a reduced diameter distal section the can be useful to restrain the movement of the suction extension. Proximal fittings attached to the guide catheter can facilitate safe removal of the catheter system from the patient by allowing for the removal of some or all of a tubular extension of the suction extension from the guide catheter behind a hemostatic seal. Pressure sensors connected to the proximal fittings can help to guide the procedures with reduced risk of embolizing thrombus.

摘要: Dual-wire lumen systems and methods of deployment for the same are discussed herein. Methods for deployment of dual-wire lumen systems include inserting a dilator system through a first branching portion of a branching stent prosthesis which includes the first and a second branching portions and a trunk portion. The dilator system includes a dilator and a first guidewire. The method further includes directing the dilator system towards an intersection between the first branching portion, the second branching portion, and the trunk portion of the branching stent prosthesis and advancing a distal end of the dilator toward the second branching portion. The method further includes advancing, at the intersection, a distal end of the first guidewire along the trunk portion through a port located on a sidewall of the dilator. The method further includes retracting the dilator through the first branching portion.

The custom length stylet assembly including a stylet wire having a length extending between a distal end and a proximal end, stylet handle defining a longitudinally oriented throughbore sized to retain a proximal portion of the stylet wire, the stylet handle further defining a proximately positioned track and tab, the track configured to retain a bent proximal end portion of the stylet wire, the length of the stylet wire selected during assembly of the stylet assembly to conform to the corresponding length of a body implantable lead within a predefined tolerance, the tab of the stylet handle melted into the track, thereby securely fastening stylet wire to the stylet handle to inhibit rotation or dislodgement.
